Does this work the other way? Share one input with 2 displays (at different times?)

BEST ANSWER: This unit is strictly a HDMI switch. It will NOT share one input with 2 outputs. You will want a HDMI Splitter for that function.

"Auto‑switch support" -- The manual doesn't discuss this feature.
Would this device be able to automatically switch between the A/B input when one of the devices is powered up? For instance, everything is turned off (TV, PS3/XBox/ETC), then I power one of those 2 inputs up, will the device switch to the one that powered up?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, by long pressing the switch button. It will stay in auto switch, unless power is lost or you short press the switch button.

Yes it does. It's working flawlessly on my Sony Oled at 4k 120hz.
It's a quality product. You pay more but in my view, it's definitely worth every penny !

BEST ANSWER: Hello,
Thank your for your inquiry. Typically for a 1x2 as you mentioned you would go with a splitter rather than a switch. In that situation I would recommend this one: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=44436

I have 4K TV (Samgung) and a Bose powered sub woofer and 2 high end speakers. Is it worth spending the extra 10.00 and buy the 4-8K over the 3 4K out put box that has no power requirment for the box? I do not care about the 10.00-I just want the best sound and pitcure. Any advice from anyone PLEASE-Thank you-Shawn.

Does this support eARC on both inputs? According to docs, all HDMI 2.1 devices support eARC. I'm looking for a switch that will allow me to use uARC on a projector with a single input. So I would need eARC to be supported on both inputs of the switch. Thanks

Does auto-switch work automatically when one device remains plugged in at all times and the other is plugged in occasionally?
I.e. does this device support auto-priority switching? Or does it always require selection via the button when two devices are connected and powered up concurrently?
(The manual does not specify.)

Looking for a simple HDMI booster for some slightly longer runs (25-50ft) in my Office. Will this be able to stabilize a connection of that distance? or does the power not assist in boosting the signal at all?

Auto-Switch not Ideal
I bought this to switch between two PCs connected to a TV. The PCs are often both on all day. I was hoping the device could auto-switch when one of the PCs extends/mirrors to the output connected to the switcher, but unfortunately in Windows no display is detected at all when connected to port 1 while port 2 is active, or vice-versa.
The auto-switch does seem to work when plugging in the port or turning on the machine, I was just hoping it was a little smarter.
