Question regarding the audio extraction. Does the unit have the ability to output 4K/8K to a compatible TV with one HDMI out, and the other HDMI out can be used on a older receiver that supports the audio formats but not the video at 4K/8K? Meaning its supplying only the audio pass to the receiver for extraction while retaining the DTS-HD and Dolby HD the receiver does understand.

BEST ANSWER: Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry. The audio extraction would be strictly to the Optical and Analog ports. The HDMI ports will send both audio and video.

If you read the manual, you will see that this device claims to downscale the video stream to an output that only supports a lower resolution. It appears you can output 8k to one monitor and 4k to the second or 4k to one monitor and 1080p to the second, but it doesn't appear you can output 8k to one monitor and 1080p to the second, for instance.

Will the audio still pass through the two hdmi output ports in the same native method it comes in? Ex: if input is from a true 4K blue ray player, can one port go directly to projector and the other go to AV receiver and pull in Dolby Atmos if that was being produced by the blu ray player?

BEST ANSWER: I have not tested specifically with eARC, but the 2.1 HDMI spec should support them. Solid switcher for the price.

Will this send the signal to both screens at the same time or is there an option to use one at a time?
A shopper
on Jun 16, 2024
BEST ANSWER: Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry. This sends the signal out to both screens at the same time. Outside of turning off a display or unplugging an HDMI connection there would be no way to stop sending the signal to both displays.

Does exactly what it's supposed to.
Does exactly what it's supposed to. Nothing flashy, but 100% functional. The fact that this works flawlessly with HDMI 2.1 signals and fiber-optic HDMI connections sets it apart from a ton of similar unbranded/generic devices you find on Amazon.

Good But Not Great
Does what it says when it comes to video, but when it comes to the audio out I could not get them to work in harmony. No matter how many combinations I tried with the switches it would either have great audio with 1080p output or muffled audio with 4k output. I finally just gave up and left the good video switch on and ran a cable from my TV to stereo. Making that feature completely useless on the box itself and honestly a waste of money.
