What tool will work to crimp these down?

BEST ANSWER: Fortunately you will not need a crimping tool. Once you cut the shielding off to expose the wire, untwist them and push them into the slots based on the wiring protocol you choose. Then, trim the wire, close keystone, and zip tie it shut. Pretty easy to use.

No tools are necessary for crimping. I would recommend a side cutters to cut away any extra wires that are in the way.

Monoprice 1-Gang Low Voltage Mounting Bracket

Monoprice 1-Gang Wall Plate for Keystone, 2-Port, White, 4.5"x2.75"x0.2", w/Screws (White Coated Screw Head)
BEST ANSWER: Yes this will work just fine together. One item to note though is that when I used this setup the Keystones were VERY tight together but DID work. One thing I learned as I'm new to doing this myself, was there is an up and a down on the wall plate relative to the keystones. Would have saved me some trouble had I known that.

What is the best practice for grounding the drain wire and foil placement on this connector, #15680?
Matthew B
on Nov 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Strip your cable at least 2" from the end to give yourself enough length of drain wire. Unwrap and fold the foil back over the still sheathed section of cable and bend the drain wire back with it to keep it out of the way as you connect your data wires. You can trim the foil to about 0.5" to keep it neat. After connecting your data wires and closing up the housing, wrap the drain wire around the cable and the little stub sticking out the back of the housing, making sure the wire comes in contact with both the stub and the folded back foil. Use electrical tape and the included zip tie to secure.

What range of panel thicknesses will this work with? I'm going to be using this in a commercial cabinet and need to know how thick the panel can be. I also need to have a drawing showing the cutout dimensions.

What tool can be used to crimp these keystone jacks?

How to unlatch the Keystone?
put the flat head screwdriver on the TOP where there is a seam between the two little squares of metal (above the white tab). Leveraged it with the screwdriver, and it will open.

Category 6A keystone jack
I had to figure out the procedure to terminate the cable onto the jack. It would be helpful if there were an instruction sheet. They worked okay. A little tough to set it into the thet wo hole face plate but easy to set into the 1 port surface mount housing.

Does not fit with 3 or 6 holes wall plates for keystones.
Installed about 20, easy enough to install, just wanted to let people know that these will not work with monoprice wall plate for keystones that have 3 or 6 holes due to the fact that these keystones are bulky and there is not enough space between each hole. Works fine with 1,2 or 4 hole plates.

Easy to use
I purchased about 40 of these for an install. The keystones were very easy to assemble. All I needed were wire strippers and cutters. All in all, it took me about 2-3 minutes to put together each jack. The jacks sit very flush with different wall plates I purchased from other sources. I ran cable tests and everything checked out. No intermittent connection issues. For the price, this beats out other jacks I've looked at.
My only complaint is that sometimes the keystones close up while they're still in the bag, so I essentially had to open them up again. The latches are pretty fragile even when using small flat-head screwdrivers. I accidentally broke one when trying to do this. As long as I was gentle and careful, it was easy to open them up.
