Does not require a punch down tool

Used a cheap punch down tool and the supplied caps. Was very easy to use and to clip into the wall plates.

Having a better flat surface to brace this against a work surface while using a punch-down tool would make it only marginally better. Very straightforward diagram, easy for a novice to install.

I am wiring my whole house, and my cable guy used yellow, gray and blue runs. So I got blue and white cat5 plugs and yellow cat6 plugs. So far I've installed 5 of these blue cat5s, and all connected without issue, the caps lock on, and they lock into the wall plates (that I also got form Monoprice) solidly. Evereything is going perfectly, so I am very pleased!

As some people have mentioned, I found these a little wider than normal and had trouble inserting them side-by-side for some wall-plates. But, other than that, it worked great!

These are well made, and the package even has a small zip tie.

Ran a cat5e cable throughout my house. These were perfect for mounting in my wall bracket. Would recommend.
