Punch down Jacks should always be used with solid wire. Never stranded.

When you are dressing racks, you tend to use a lot of stranded LAN cable. In just over 18 years that I have been using stranded cable doing racks and drops in large deployments, I have had more issues with solid cable in those environments than stranded LAN cables. The tools and quality of stranded cable you use in your connections and terminations play a HUGE part.
I had solid wire and it worked just fine. No issues.

I've installed these before, and used the "b" color code on the side. The video, and the picture in the video show another color code. I think the color code in the video is the "universal" color code. Does it matter as long as they match? Obviously can't ix and match, but my network has been running fine for 2 years.

BEST ANSWER: ANSI/TIA-568B is the wiring standard for most ethernet wiring someone will encounter. Wiring for the other color code which is T568A will just cause massive headache and extra work. In fact, some older (10+ years) CAT6 wire that I've bought from Monoprice was apparently T568A and I had to cut out the original connectors and wire my own. Wire just using the "B" side and you will be fine.

There is a choice between TIA568A and TIA568B wiring standards ("A" and "B") color coding.
You must use the same code throughout as you've mentioned, don't mix and match.
Sounds like you've done it correctly.

Will the Cat6A RJ-45 Toolless 180-Degree Keystone (red 15665 or blue 15666) fit side-by-side in the Décor Insert for Keystone, 6 Hole (34518)? This would be a reason for me to choose over the Monoprice Cat6 Punch Down Keystone Jack (red 5383 or blue 5379 - these have a specific note in their description indicating they will not fit side-by-side). Another user was able to install Leviton QuickPort Extreme CAT 6 Connectors (example 61110-RL6 from the orange DIY big box store), side-by-side in a 6-hole Décor Insert. Thank you.

- New User U on Oct 14, 2020
I don’t know if a single. It’s pretty quick to do all 8 in about 20 seconds
When guys are doing hundreds to thousands at a time time savings could be multiple days that could be spent at different site and make easier for field techs

Are these keystones UL listed?
Mitchell K
on Jul 16, 2021
BEST ANSWER: The UL ID number is on the last product photo, "E157358". Looks like a legitimate identifier. UL checks monoprice products from time to time, these look like they are legitimately registered with UL. You can go to UL's web site and create a free account and check this number there, or probably send UL an email.
But: looks like they are fully UL listed.

Disappointed
The product is good the customer service leaves a lot to be desired and that's an understatement. I wanted to return an item, unopened and they said I had to pay the shipping and handling for a product that was $4.99... which would have cost twice to ship. Now I order through Amazon. Never again directly. Guess this will never see the light.

Great, reliable jacks
I networked my house a while back and I exclusively used Monoprice parts to do it. The keystones are extremely reliable, easy to read, and fit perfectly in all brands of keystone plates. Three years in and I've had no hiccups.

Got the job done
Used these with Cat6 23AWG cable in 12 different locations and all ports work well. The keystones snap right in to the 2-hole and 6-hole plates I used. It was nice to have multiple colors to easily demarcate multiple ports at the same drop point.
