BEST ANSWER: The standards for PoE are 44 VDC at 350ma maximum. It is designed for delivering operational power to a device at the remote end of the cable in addition to the TRANSMIT and RECEIVE balanced data signals. The BLU/wht and WHT/blu conductors are tied together for the +DC energy and the BRN/wht and WHT/brn conductors are tied together to carry the -DC energy. There would be no reason to have 1100V on this or ANY OTHER cable in a commercial or residential environment. Anything with that high of a voltage would have to be encased in something protective such as conduit. Even the ROMEX cable used to wire electrical outlets and switches is only rated to 600V!

These should be fine for PoE, but not for 1100 V. They're probably 300 or 600 V tops, maybe less...I'd have to go look. We're using most of ours with PoE for use with phones and security cameras, either at the patch panel or the desk. Been using Cat 5, 5e and 6 for PoE for probably most of my 15 years in IT. Apparently PoE will work on Cat 3 if using a low power device.

These aren't PoE cables as far as I know. I wouldn't put high voltage down them.

Poe Specifications call for a maximum of 44 VDC at 350 mA (0.35 amps). Not sure where the person asking the original question is coming up with that 1100V rating. Even household ROMEX wire is only rated to 600V.

Great Pricing
Considering that most companies charge double the prices for Cat 5e, there is no way I will ever go back to shopping at the store. Mind you there are shipping prices which seem a bit steep, I don't mind it as I have a quality cable that is future proof. I will continue to buy these and different lengths from Mono.
