Suitable to extend hdmi cable length by allowing two to be connected together. In my case I needed to connect to a tv that was mounted on a wall and the cable ran inside the wall. The connector works perfectly in my application.

To the point...yes, it's what you need, what you're looking for to build up or enhance that home theater of yours. I use it for mine. Yes, it does transfer 4K flawlessly! All other reviews are accurate and dead-on. I would buy more of these HDMI couplers again. This coupler is durable and great quality with a nice flush fit for your HDMI cord male ends. I'll definitely buy more here again if/when needed.

This is the best way to meld short HDMI cables to make a long one, or swap out inputs without moving the giant TV.
