Does this have an off and on switch?
A shopper
on Jun 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Next to power cord in has a rocker switch labeled off and reset, putting it in the off position kills power to device, putting it back in the reset position powers up the device, so I am guessing it is a ckt breaker that you could use as an on/off switch. I have 3 of them , no problems to date.

I believe it has a switch but I cannot confirm it as I installed the protector in an inaccessible location. The protector is performing flawlessly.

All the outlets are squared to the sides of the unit. None of them rotate. But there are variations of spacing - which is nice. I like the unit.

Is there any way to dim the green light when it's plugged in? I own this and it's far to bright at night.

does the grounded light ever go on?
A shopper
on Dec 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The green light on both sides of the unit is on ALL the time, and it's way too bright. Totally unnecessary. I have it behind my desk and keep it covered with a towel because the light shines up the wall otherwise. Aside from that strange design feature, it seems well-made.

It’s always on. If the green light goes away, it’s lost its surge protection ability. Mine has been on since we purchased snd use.

I think you're out of luck unless you want to get some tape out and try to cover it that way.

Does this have a replaceable fuse?
A shopper
on Mar 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi, this product has a builtin circuit breaker that can be reset by cycling the power switch. The circuit breaker functions similar to a fuse to protect against overloads that can be caused by short circuits or too much current draw. Compared to a fuse, the circuit breaker does not have to be replaced, simply reset it once the overload condition has been resolved. Note however that the components that provide surge (or voltage spike) protection is not resettable nor replaceable once used up. Hope this helps, thanks for checking.

Has anyone tested this to see if the joule rating is accurate? I understand the surge protection industry is rife with false claims -- even with "reputable" brands. And, a higher price isn't telling.

Great power solution
Excellent product, solid build and sleek profile. Able to replace 2 bulkier power strips in my family room HT setup and clean up the installation, 4 wall wart sockets and 2 USB ports did the trick. I have no problem with the lights around the outside - protector is mounted to the wall behind a double wide equipment cabinet so they can only be seen when looking from the end, not noticeable from normal seating position even when lights are out.

Very bright at night. It's kind of obnoxious
Seems to work as stated. Except there is no mention of the LED lights on product packaging or on website. The issue I have is when turned on, the led lights are quite bright at night and illuminate an entire room with no way to turn off without shutting off the entire unit. I would have picked a different product if I had known about the LED lights.

I a gotta the juice
It powered up and powered up the devices plugged into it.
Not sure how good it is at stopping a spike and don't want to find out. There is a green light, around the rim, kinda nice, could see how it would be annoying in some circumstances.
