I bought 2 of these, plus a normal (non-active) 16' USB extension cable. I had a USB device in one room that I needed to connect to my computer in another (about 40' of total cable length needed).



I thought I'd try these since I had nothing to lose as they are inexpensive.



To my surprise they work very well. I haven't noticed any difference in performance at all.



If you need to extend your USB distance I definitely recommend trying these.

I bough this to connect a printer and scanner to a computer where the cables need to be at least 20 feet long in order to route them behind the furniture and keep them hidden. I previously tried passive extension cables, but they were intermittent at that distance. I installed these active extension cables along with the 2M cables that came with the devices and they are working perfectly.

PROS: No configuration necessary. Worked first time. Hardly more expensive than a passive cable.

CONS: The ends with the active circuitry in them are quite a bit larger than a typical USB cable. I had some difficulty routing it through tight spaces.

In an effort to determine how best to charge and sync 80 tablets in fixed locations, I bought three 8751 cables (5 meters each). I wanted to test the effect of length on both amps and data transfer speed. (I had received conflicting information.) For what it's worth, length definitely effects charging time of a tablet. The one meter cable received with the tablet will charge it from zero to 100% in about 3 hours. With 15 meters (3/8751's) added to the one meter cable, charging time increased to about 22 hours. On the other hand, 873MB in 412 files transferred in the same amount of time regardless of the length of 1 meter or 49 meters. I got consistent results over several tests which indicates to me that the quality of the cables was consistent.

Further, the price was right!

Using to extend a USB connection to a printer about 20' away. This cable provides a reliable USB connection where other long (non-repeating) cables have failed. Great product!

Wanted to connect a DDR pad to the computer tower which is pretty far away. This extension cable with the repeater works great. Pad works and responds perfectly. No delays or loss of signal due to long length.

My first stop for any cable needs.

The cable was exactly what I needed. It was in stock and shipped right away. It arrived two days after the order was placed. I plugged it in and it works perfectly. The price was fantastic and the service was excellent and the product first class. Sorry, but I couldn't find anything else wrong.

I was having a problem with a 15ft USB cable that runs from my HTPC to a powered USB hub by my recliner. Whenever I plugged in certain devices like an iPod, other devices already connected to the hub such as my mouse would lose their connection. That cable was just a passive one though, so I swapped it out for this repeater cable and have not a single problem since then.

I needed a longer USB cable to connect to a Wifi antenna. This cable was used to extend the cable from the antenna. It works perfectly.

Great cable - no signal loss over the length of the cable, never getting any errors. The only improvement would be a 90 degree option - the stiffness of the well shielded cable plugged into the back of the printer means there has to be a couple of inches of clearance behind the printer. Great price.

Worked to extend my Bluetooth transceiver from the corner of the room to the window.. worked perfectly, and was able to extend my bluetooth range *just enough* from my PC.

I needed a usb cord to reach my computer from my main PA mixer in my recording studio,

We used this to feed the output of our pendant on our industrial CNC machine to the control computer. This pendant is mounted on the gantry. Even with all of the electrical "noise" surrounding this cable, we have had no cross-talk or transmission errors.

As an AV Integrator we've used literally many hundreds if not a thousand of the various models of these extenders in "Smart" classrooms going back 8 years to now, and and have had less than 2% failure over the years. They are very reliable and consistent and offer the very best value there is to be had in this category.

My initial impression with this cable is very positive. My PS3 Eye Camera would not work with an ordinary USB extension but works perfectly with this one.

I purchased this USB extension to connect a Logitech G29 to a Playstation 3, which works PERFECTLY. I have since used the extension to connect an external USB 3.0 SSD to a USB3 hub, and an external USB 2.0 card reader to a Windows 10 PC. Both also worked flawlessly.



Just about every configuration I've used this extension cable in it has met or exceeded my expectations.



Another great product at a terrific price from Monoprice. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a USB (repeated) extension to search no further.

Bought another cable on Amazon and that cable was useless, as it recognized the printer but would not print. This cable works without issues.

Once again, monoprice comes through with the ONLY solution for those short webcam cables, and, as usual, at the best price. I could have wasted a lot of time and $$ going the "powered hub" route but it wouldn't have worked. They only affect POWER, and this "ACTIVE" cable boosts the SIGNAL. So, for all you webcam users who want to extend the ridiculously short cable that came attached to the camera, just buy this cable. Problem SOLVED.

I was concerned that the length,which I needed to extend my remote shutter trigger would be too great. Asked tech support about it and was told it should work. While this is a great cable, be prepared for it to not work with some devices.

I bought this in hopes it would work with DSLR controller on android to power my tablet as a director/client monitor and it worked right out of the box with no drop off. I even added a 10' usb onto that and no dropout, so this can extend the range of DSLR Controller up to 26' no problem.

I was having problems connecting my shop computer to my wireless LAN repeater. I used this cable with my USB wireless adapter to get a better position for the adapter away from my desk. It worked perfectly.

PROS: High quality cable and connectors. Solved a major problem for me with poor wireless connectivity between my shop computer and my wireless repeater. Since I live in Arizona, I am able to use the Norco Overnite shipping option. I sincerely don't know how these guys do it. I place my order in the morning and get delivery the next morning.

CONS: Absolutely none.
