BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. It would not be recommended to use this mount under a counter to hold an audio receiver. It is intended to be mounted to a wall and to hold small rack mountable equipment.

Pefrect 1U wall mount for patch panel
I used this to mount a patch panel, it works great for this. The mount is well made, and the hinge is a nice little bonus, but I wouldn't trust it to support my patch panel swung all the way out.
