Yes, there are multiple slotted holes across the wall mounting bracket. On my house the studs were 24 inches apart and the holes did line up. Anything greater than 16 inches is OK.

Why is there a limit of 60" for this mount? There doesn't seem to be anything preventing a 65" or 70" (or larger) display from being attached.

BEST ANSWER: The screen size is a general reference point. The more appropriate reference point is to review the maximum weight supported and VESA pattern. In my case, I have the Samsung 75" MU8000 mounted--it works well.

That is my reasoning. My 65" LG weighs only about 40-50 lbs or so. I can't think of a reason why this mount wouldn't work either, but there has to be *some* reason why there is an upper limit, right?
The only thing I could think of would be leverage. If you extended the mount ALL the way out (creating torque at the wall) and then had a super wide TV at the end of that, and you put weight on one of the top corners, maybe you would overwhelm the ability of the mount to hold (essentially building a long lever).
Me, I did a huge overkill on the mounting, putting plywood onto the wall, bolted to the studs, and then mounted the TV mount to that. Even so I only have it coming out from the wall less than six inches, and straight.
I have another one of these in a different room and with that one the TV is almost right up against the wall.

Does this mount have horizontal alignment, whether its via rotation or other means?
Joseph C
on Jan 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes the TV can be moved from side to side after it is mounted. The 2 vertical brackets that are attached to the back of the TV can slide along the front mounting plate. If you slide the TV to far to one side, then the plate becomes visible on the other. The plate is 32" wide and my TV is 42" wide. So I can slide my TV approximately 10" off of center. A larger screen TV should be able to move even more than my 47" screen.

Horizontal alignment is done by the mounting plate on the wall. If the mount is a off centered it is possible to slide the TV left or right a little bit, it depends on the size of the TV and how the mounting bracket is situated. As long as you installed it into the studs you shouldn't have an issue.

The Horizontal slide is 800mm long. So if your TV has a mount space of less than 800mm, the TV will be able to slide from side to side.

My TV is also 400 x 400 VESA at ~ 82 lbs, so from that standpoint it should be fine. The specs state studs should be at least 16" OC (on center)--my guess is for appropriate structural support

BEST ANSWER: To determine compatibility with a TV mount to your TV, please determine the VESA mounting pattern on the back of your TV. It is the 4 screw hole square formation on the back and it is usually listed on the TV specs or you can find out by measuring it yourself(measured in millimeters). Our TV mounts range from 50x50mm to 1000x700 and up so please check the TV mount specs for compatibility as well. I hope this helps, thank you!

Good question! The item info as shown on the item's description page states, "Fits VESA® patterns from 50 x 50 to 750 x 450". Further down the page, it also shows a table of ten different VESA spacings as to what it DOES support but 660 x 320 isn't in there.
There are many holes in each of the brackets that attach to the TV's VESA mounting holes so visually, it appears that your 660 x 320 requirement could most likely be met. Looks like the only way to be certain will be to contact the manufacturer assuming Monoprice provides a way to do that.
Stated simply, Who KNOWS?

BEST ANSWER: Bought my unit a year ago - wall mounting plate measures 19 5/8" wide. I would make a mounting board from a 2'x 4', bolted to the wall - stud-to-stud, and then bolt - using lag bolts the same diameter as the mounting bolts supplied - to lag screw the mounting plate to the 2" x 4". Doing this will allow you to purchase nearly any mounting unit. Might need two boards to get the height of the mounting plate.

BEST ANSWER: When it comes to TV mounts, the display size listed is only an approximation.
What would matter is the VESA hole mounting pattern and weight of the TV that you are looking to mount. The VESA mounting pattern of a TV will vary by make and model. Older TV's had larger VESA patterns and weighed much more than TV's nowadays. As long as your TV's VESA fits the mount and the weight of the TV can be held by the mount it will work no problem.

As long as your TV's VESA fits the mount and the weight of the TV can be held by the mount it will work no problem.

what does "Built In Level" mean? i have a 55 in (tilt) and a 65 inch (full motion, considering L or XL) both need wall mount and don't know which models work the best. Any suggestion?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
"Built in level" would refer to a green bubble level that would be found on the wall plate.
It would make leveling the wall plat on the wall much easier since the level is built in so you don't have to use an external bubble level.

for a 65" tv (sony x750) and a 60"tv, should i use this one or the extra large size?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. This mount should work for either of your TV's. Looking into the x750 it would have a 300x300mm VESA hole mounting pattern and will weigh 47.4lbs without the stand attached.
As for the other 60" TV, as long as the VESA hole mounting pattern is between 50x50 ~ 750x450 and weighs less than 175lbs then it would work fine.

Heavy Duty
This is a well made bracket! Articulates enough for what I need. It doesn't span 3 studs, but I would trust it with at least 100 lbs.

Perfect for my needs
The mount comes with all hardware needed and installation was easy. Mount has plenty of strength as long as the wall mounting is done as per the instructions.

Solid choice for a full-motion TV bracket
I was mounting a 43-inch thin panel and when it arrived, I thought this is overkill. Once mounted up, I believe it was perfect for my son's gaming. It's a heavy duty bracket, well built, and smooth function. I bought some construction grade lags with button heads and they are easier to install than provided lag bolts. The value for this bracket is incredible.
Awesome bracket for great value!

This mount is a tank!
This mount is a tank! I have 4 in my classroom where I often move 40-80 inch TVs around between these mounts, depending of what classroom layout I need for a specific course. I also have one at home with a 55 inch TV on it. It is a little crude but super sturdy and it is easy to move my TVs on and off these mounts. Moving and adjusting the viewing angle can be somewhat hard but normally I do not have to do that too much once a TV is in place. I recommend this mount if you what a super sturdy mount for a heavy TV.
