Had one of these for several years and have used it many times usually once or twice a year. Shows no rust or degradation despite being stored in a unheated garage since 2011. Having a set of replacement blades would be a good idea. Mine are showing some wear.
Went to my parents house to do a project and used the modular RJ5 plugs that come with the crimper. The included RJ45 plugs were absolutely useless as they could not fit into any router or modem in the house. The heads seemed really cheap but damn at least make sure they fit into a outlet!
.I had to run out to home depot to buy some modular and it worked perfectly.
PROS: None - a better crimper could be brought for about the same price, I only got it because it included a wire stripper. They should not bother including modular heads and instead give us an extra blade to use.
CONS: RJ45 plugs cannot plug into any modem/router!
