BEST ANSWER: There shouldn't be a problem doing this, though you will need to use slightly longer screws to successfully attach the wall bracket and both shelf brackets to the back of the television.

I don’t believe that this would be suitable for mounting on the bottom of the television I don’t think the bracket is made work that way Enter an answer to this question.

BEST ANSWER: yes, I have my cable box on it and I have my blue ray disk player and cable box on one as well. Just be careful and tighten the mounting clamps for the glass shelf tight or the shelf could slip out if your mount is tilted forward. I used tie wraps to secure the cables to the bracket as well.

My FLAT TV screen is on a wall mount. I bought this Bracket from Monoprice. It easily mounts to the back of most wall mount which has multiple openings. If not you can drill a hole to meet the DVD bracket.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, I would recommend taking into account the angle at which your TV sits for viewing. Mine sits higher so I angle it downward for viewing and that angle may cause your speaker or DVD player to slide off. There are methods to prevent any sliding but you'll want them available upon install

Does the shelf have to be mounted at the very top or very bottom of the rails? My TV is not mounted to the wall but sits on a TV stand. I want to mount the rails to the back of the TV with the shelf centered and facing in the opposite direction. Is this possible?

BEST ANSWER: The shelf position is not adjustable. It has to be mounted on the very top or bottom of the rails, and is not reversible because of the way the L bars are designed.

I think you could mount directly to the back of the tv using the bracket mount holes on the back of the tv. you would need to get the proper bolts to fit your specific tv and washers.

It would be in your best interest to temp check the area while the fireplace is operating before setting up to ensure that the level at which the shelf will be placed is not in danger of extreme temperatures.

The handles for pulling the tv down are in the center of the mount. Not sure how you would mount a center speaker to it and still utilize the handles. I have two centers sitting on my mantel and the handle comes right over them without touching.

Yes but you will need to supply your mounting nuts and bolts. We did just what your thinking with a Polk audio center.

Really nice and Really big!
It's really nice, but it is a heck of a lot larger than I expected and I certainly didn't expect it to be made of glass. It also sucks that I paid $11 for it and less than a week later it is selling for less than $6, but that sometimes happens. I have no idea what I will use it for, as it won't work for the purpose I had intended, but it isn't worth returning. I'll figure out something.

Nice looking shelf, but too heavy.
Hooked this to the back of my TV. Even before placing a center speaker on it, it made the set top-heavy and a bit unstable. Adding a Canton center speaker made me worry about the set falling over. buying a pair of cheap, lightweight plastic set-top shelves from another vendor eliminated most of the problem.

I used this used this shelf on my Bedroom Wall Mounted TV to hold my Blu-Ray player and soundbar. Works great and frees up dresser top space

Simple Solution, and Quality Product.
I purchased two of these, they are of good quality, and hold plenty of weight, easily a modern gaming console!
I guess I should have realized, but since they connect directly to your TV Mount, if you have your display titled, this mount will tilt with it. Being glass, this could cause your items to slide easily and fall.

Nice fit for holding a converter box and remotes..
Worked great with the mount for an old tv I set up in my sewing room. The glass shelf survived shipping even though the box was badly damaged.

Difficult installation. Holes did not line up properly.
Good concept. However, installation took 2 of us hours. (My experience building a house from scratch, so I dont feel unqualified to put together a simple shelf)
Holes didnt line up. Glass clamp system lacks integrity. We finally used some epoxy to keep the glass in on one side hopefully.
It looks good. now, but installation is a killer.
