Will this wall plate work with Cat6a wiring?

BEST ANSWER: It depends on what you mean by "Work". If by work you mean "Will it transmit data from a Cat6a cable?", then the answer is yes. This is simply a passthru device and will not change your wiring scheme. Cat6 is backwards compatible with Cat5/Cat5e.
If by "work" you mean "Will this degrade my signal quality at all?", then the answer is possibly...
The issue you may run into is that since this wall plate is only designed under Cat5e standards, it may degrade your signal quality to that of a Cat5e cable. This may or may not impact your speeds (Cat5e is rated up to 1000Mb/s, so you should still get up to that).
It really depends on your situation whether this will work for you. If you only need gigabit speeds, then this will do just fine. If you are hoping for something more, then this will become a bottleneck.

yes, the cat 5e and 6, while holding the ends of the wire are different slightly, will plugin and work the same in the outlet, otherwise manufacturers would have to have cat 6 hardware inputs or adapter plugs, etc. Also you can use a cat 5e plug on a cat 6 cable if you want to, that's what I did when I wired my house.

It will plug physically and you will get a gigabit connection, but you might not be able to get the full 10Gigabit of a cat6A cable is capable to deliver you have to try it to see if it will work with 10gig, but it will work with gigabit guaranty

The back has a male coax connector and a female catV so already terminated cables ca be used. I am satisfied with the construction of the product.

Yes there is a wall plate version with just the RJ45/ Cat5 connector also they make wall plates with an assortment of just about any combination of connections you you can think of.

Will this screw into securely into the "1-Gang Low Voltage Mounting Bracket" (item 703)? Not into the oval holes at the edges, but the circular holes towards the inside. I have a different wall plate but the screws align with the oval holes on the mounting bracket and does not fit securly.

Can i use wall plate to connect my subwoofer to my system? If not, could you recommend the best wall plate and connector to use?

BEST ANSWER: You cannot use this one but yes you can use a wall plate to connect your subwoofer to your system. Monoprice (and other retailers) sell keystone modules for RCA cables and CL2 rated RCA cables (that are the most commonly used connections for s/w) that you can run behind the walls for a clean look. I myself bought a few and am running the cables in my media room walls but unfortunately the project is on hold due to delays in the County initial inspection so cannot post the results here yet. Hope this helps.

Fraction of the price and still great
Great plates at a fraction of the big box stores.
Got a couple of these for my living room and kitchen that i found had the cables hidden inside the one gang box . Installing was a breeze and they worked perfectly.

ethernet / f connector outlet plate
Worked for my application and the pricing was right. The female jack on the back side was quite long which surprised me but I had enough room in my electrical box for the premolded connection on my ethernet cable.
I settled for the white as that is all that is available from what I could tell. It would be appreciated if this was manufactured and available in almond. That is probably the most common color of light switch and outlet plates.

This is a great product. It works great. You simply plug the Cat 5 and F type cables into the back and install the plate on the wall box. Great price compared to others.

Works great!
Needed to replace several wall plates that had coax and Cat5e run to them, but had been wired for telephone service. These made it very easy - I just put an RJ-45 connector on the Cat5 cable and plugged it into this plate. Within short order I had the house wired for ethernet rather than analog telephone service.
