Anyone use the 65 ft cable for a USB Condenser microphone, such as a Blue Yeti?
A shopper
on Nov 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It should work as long as the mic doesn't draw a large amount of power. Some of these cables have a DC port on them that would allow a 5V power supply to be added to help power upstream devices. If your Blue Yeti relies on the USB power to create the 48V Phantom internally, that could be a large power drain. I would say, buy it and try it. If it doesn't work due to power, put a DC powered hub at the mic end.

I have not, but I cannot see why it wouldn't work just fine. I use this USB cable for a VR headset you and it has zero issues.

I bought one and it works well. You can't run a hub on it and it is not plenum rated cable. It appears to be a pvc jacket over woven wire shield I run mine under a door and along the floor. Codes vary from state to state. Check with your local low voltage code inspector

will the 65 foot or 82 foot version work with a PS4 version 2 controller?
Paul R
on Jun 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. This cable should work with a PS4 controller. However, depending on how much power the controller demands it could possibly require more than the cable can give over the long run. The 82ft version would have the option to add a power supply to help boost the signal. We do have a 30 day return policy if you wished to try out the cable.

BEST ANSWER: Absolutely! I use this in a venue where they have many conferences and presentations. I run it to the front of the room to extend the range of the wireless presentation remote. There's no lag or negatives to using it. I've had no issues.

So I have a Logitech c920....would this cable have any issues powering that?
A shopper
on Dec 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It looks like that camera draws 250ma or when focusing - that may or may not be available at the other end. If you look at the reviews here, you'll see people are using other cameras. I have a hub at the end of mine with no issues - it has a laserjet and a MFP plugged-in. I do see people using the c920 without a powered hub on a raspberry pi, which provides limited power. My guess? It will work.

Is this cable plenum rated?
A shopper
on Mar 14, 2022
I understand this is not plenum-rated. Given our local regulations, it would be helpful to know if we have any of the following measurements on this cable:
- maximum peak optical density
- average optical density
- peak heat release rate in kW
Anyone know or have figured out the original manufacturer?

Powered USB Extender Cable works great!
I purchased this USB Extender Cable for our PTZ Camera. We used the 65 foot cable. I like this one because it has a built in amplifier using computer USB power. Picture is perfect. I recommend this cable. It is low cost and works great!

Works, even with a hub on the far end!
It's a cable, it's 65' long and it works.
Of note there are two "repeaters", so if you have to tuck this under a carpet or something, be aware.
I had no trouble with this, needed to put 2 printers in another room and this was cheaper than setting up a print server. The hub that the printers are connected to is bus-powered too, kind of surprised that works.
I'm attaching a picture of the USB device tree to illustrate the hub situation.

Works great.
I needed this to go from my workshop computer to the other side of the garage to plug in a MiniDSP and Omnimic measurement microphone, and both devices work great on the other side of the room.

Great product, great price
I purchased three of these cables to extend the leads on three separate PS3 EYE cameras. The cameras are part of a live video feed for my VJ setup. I cannot see / haven't noticed any degradation of video signal quality with these USB extensions. They simply work and they work very well. Construction and materials are robust. While I have not tried all possible types of USB peripherals with these cables, having passed the video test, I feel that these cables will probably work with most any other USB device out there.
