Monoprice Cat5e RJ45 Modular Inline Coupler - User Comment
As a user with multiple, short Ethernet cables, it is nice to be able to "string them out" for longer applications.
I found Monoprice Cat 5e RJ45 inline coupler does the job for me, and for a reasonable price. Recommended!

Use this with FT-891 and FT-897d
I use this as a coupler for the microphone so I do not have to take the head off the radios to simply switch microphones. Works well. But if out of stock you can buy the upgraded CAT 6 shielded couplers for a few dollars more. I probably should have gone with the shielded couplers to begin with but did not know they existed until these were out of stock.

Worked fine
In my case, I had a cat 5e and a cat 6e cable that I wanted to join to get a needed extra bit of length. Internet articles said that it would be no problem to use an inline coupler for that, and this product did the job. Attached cables, checked connection, all fine with no loss of download speed.

They work great!
I purchased some cheaper couplers from another company at .20 each. Need less to say they were thrown in the garbage. I then ordered these and all of the ones that have been deployed have worked without any issues. They sit tight in the ports and don't have any wiggle to them at all. I'll be ordering more soon.
