Can you use these with cat6 solid wire?

BEST ANSWER: You can, but you have to trim the unused wires and use at least 4 to help make a more secure connection. Not recommended I would only recommend if in a pinch. Still use the cheaper bell wire its more practical. I carry (Cat 3 cable) is a type of un-shielded twisted pair (UTP) cable that is used for voice and data communications; however, in computer and telecommunication networks use RJ45 Connectors and 6 wire for RJ12 or 4 wire for RJ11 Use flat connectors for flat wire.

How do you use this connector??

BEST ANSWER: you will need a special crimping tool. I use a Klein Tools VDV226-110 but there are cheaper ones out there. you will have to strip the main insulation and separate the individual wires then insert them in proper order into the connector. Isn’t hard just takes a little practice

No prob connector
This is a good product, I keep about 50 to 100 pcs around. I do closed caption phone installs and some repair on POTs line. I also install Hybrid MTA/ FTS That's VOIP to POTs and use these as back ups when there is a line failure. I have used these in business around the city.
