Do these panels have Monoprice printed on them?

BEST ANSWER: Product ID /PID: 7261 does not have Monoprice printed on it.. obviously much much less expensive than any of the name brand blank panels, I usually stock up on the 1u and 2u when I order them to save on shipping as opposed to purchasing on a as-need basis

The ones we got did not have anything printed on the front. I would say that these have a really thick coating so they don't fit very well if you need more than two or three sections blocked.

I received 2 without any markings on them at all. They are very heavy duty, not thin sheet metal and a thick powder coating.. Built to last forever.

BEST ANSWER: All those we have received to date have no writing or silk-screened branding. They are painted textured black enamel on steel. There is an easy to remove "Made in China" sticker on the back side.

Some older reviews say the panel is slightly larger than a 1U space and is difficult to fit two next to each other. Has this complaint been addressed?

BEST ANSWER: The metal is a little thicker material compared to some other vendors 1U blank plates, but they still fit as a 1U blank panel should. Sometimes you may have to adjust (loosen the screws) on existing panels above or below where you are wanting the Monoprice 1U to go.

We use these all the time above, and under patch panels and switches, never an issue taking more than the 1U space
They fit perfectly on top of each other, and the width is perfect for a standard 19" rack. No issues at all.

I haven't had any problems with the 1U spacer blank. I was able to slide the switch and router in as well with no problem. Don't tighten the blanks down until all equipment is in the rack

I bought a few of these towards the beginning of the year (2022) and did not experience this. For me they were sized correctly and they fit together fine if needed.

BEST ANSWER: No, there are no screws or rack nuts included. Monoprice does sell a pack of screws and racks nuts that I bought and worked great.

No, some use 10-32 and some use 10-24 and some use other sizes. So, NO it does not include screws.

Some in the reviews have photos of these panels in grey. Is there any way we could get them in grey in place of black?

BEST ANSWER: Monoprice reached out to me to answer this question since I bought the same thing earlier this year. I don't know why they think a customer would be able to tell another customer about their stock. It was probably an automated response.
In any case, I have no idea if it's available in grey, but I suggest that you just get a rattle can and spray paint it yourself. The price of this panel is much lower than Guitar Center, or any of the other music shops, so you'd be saving money even after the cost of the spray paint. It's high quality too. I was expecting to get some flimsy piece of crap, but no - it's actually pretty darn perfect.
Be prepared for a ridiculously sized box and way more bubble wrap than is necessary for something that isn't even easily breakable. You'll get a good laugh out of that for sure.

I have equipment on slides above and below the blank that rub and are restricted by the blank. Do they make any that are not exactly the 1u size?

BEST ANSWER: Well, since 1U is a standard, the answer is no. Perhaps you need to loosen the screws on all your rack ears and adjust them accordingly so everything fits properly.

Many of the reviews mention that these panels are a bit too tall. Does anyone out there have a calipers they can measure the height with? Please let us know if they are really larger that 1.75" tall!

good looks but very tight fit
at least on my Gator rack. i had to start screws on one side and then the other and tighten each side a little at a time. if the holes were any tighter i would have had to open them with a file.

Made very well
Much thicker steel than I expected it to be and very, very sturdy. An absolute bargain for the price. I will definitely be buying more. Fits my NavePoint rack perfectly.

Good Blank for Great Price....except changed to a grey color
These are good quality blanking panels for an unbeatable price.
However, I would suggest not buying these if you think you will ever need more down the road.
I bought a couple for my rack 2 years ago in 2018, and now in 2020 the color and finish is completely different.
Look at the 2U blank (purchased 2018) vs the 1U blanks (purchased 2020)
Not to mention the very different shade of grey

I bought these to fill the 3U opening on my new StudioDesk. They fit perfectly and the price was right.

Panels are fine, not as described, customer service mediocre
Panels were solid, would work great.
My poor review is due to panels being poorly described/photographed on the site. The panels are a shiny black textured finish, I bought them assuming they were plain black. Photo and item description do not designate that. Panels do not have the monoprice logo either, which was fine, the picture/item description doesn't designate that either.
I got a full refund for the return but they won't cover return shipping despite the misleading photos and product description. Guess I'm out $20. Great deal for anyone who wants shiny black textured panels.
