The item works great. Great Value.

Bought this to connect from iPad to Monoprice 50ft Premier Series XLR Male to 1/4in TRS Male Cable, 16AWG (Gold Plated) to use with an arena speaker system. However, the connection is loose, and semi-okay 50% sound is heard with manually holding the 1/4 inch cable plug within this converter just right. Not a tenable situation for playing arena music. Had to be returned.
For what it's worth, another 1/4 inch to 3.5 mm converter plug from a different manufacturer also did not work with the XLR to 1/4 inch TRS cable.

Works as described, took 1 star off as it does not fit a cell phone with a case. I wish it was thinner at the base of the plug.

I bought this as a replacement for the adapter that came with my Sennheiser 598.
The cord for my sennheisers got wrapped around my leg a couple of months ago, and the plug got ripped out of the rear mobo audio socket.
My mobo was damaged, the audio socket broken and unusable, and the adapter was bent providing spotty audio unless it was inserted perfectly.
I bought this adapter for $1, it looks cool and does it's job well.
I can't detect any static when using this, and the audio sounds normal.

This does not work well with SENNHEISER HD555 or any other 6.3mm jacks, which is standard for higher quality headphones. I've tried multiple headphone jacks and neither fit. it is lose and causes horrible white noise and frankly is unsable for anything other than just HEARING stuff, which it does do, just with a very annoying screechy noise attached to hearing everything.



I know for absolute sure it's because of how lose it is. I can slighly jiggle the jack and hear the noise change exactly the way/pattern I move it. No question it's this jack.



I would never buy this again and now do not know if I should buy from monoprice. I love them, but I can't trust their products to work the way they should be intended to work.

PROS: It is very durable. It looks nice and is heavy, it looks like a high quality jack.



It sorta works.

CONS: Well the sound quality is bad because it is very loose. My jack, which is a standard - SENNHEISER HD555 1/4" (6.3mm) just does not fit properly and is lose. This causes a CONSTANT white noise that is very distracting, and frankly unusable for any type of audio sensitive work.
