These worked great for my ir extender

Used to extend a 2.5mm IR emitter cable

Works well paired with Monoprice P/N 29516 headphone cable, they actually look nice and cost very little.

I received the adaptor on time as promised and they work just fine. The price was very good and the quality was fine also. I would recommend these adapters to everyone

This adapter doesn't work. Don't know why. Perhaps not wired the same way internally as the plug that needed adapting. Glad it didn't cost much.

Just finished the basement and went to plug in the ir blaster and it falls right out. At first I thought maybe I bought a 3.5 male with a 3.5 female, but I just looked and it was a 3.5 to 2.5 35 cents isn't work returning i suppose and it isn't worth ordering another one for 2.99 shipping. I also had subwoofer cable that was bad. granted I have purchased a lot of things and only 2 failures but both are needed...

CONS: sometimes they might be made just a little too cheap...

Doesnt seem to work with extending my IR blaster. My 2.5 cable doesnt really snap in or grip with this adapter. Not sure if its me or the product, but I was hoping it would work so I could get my TV ir blaster up and working, but no success. I'm not sure if its the stereo I need, but figured the mono adapter would work best with IR.

Kinda bummed. Gotta figure out how else to get this to work.

I have experienced the same issue as others on this item (7125). There must be a defective batch that Monoprice has not accounted for. The 2.5mm receiver will not connect the plug just flops around inside. I have contacted them for a replacement. It is a $0.35 part so I hope they will just ship me another one without any issues.
