Will this adapter work with a Dell 3007WFP to a Macbook Pro 2015?

BEST ANSWER: I have this model 300WFP but the adapter gives me the same intermittent interference problems as the Apple adapter which used to work fine, but seemed to go bad. The interference is just not so often (for now). Running at 2048 resolution. My next theory is that I have power fluctuations (both in the apple port AND the wall outlet? IDK?) but what I would do about that I have no idea. This unit seems lighter than the Apple one.

Is there any difference between this and the Apple part called "Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter"? Does it do anything different or in any different way? I'm trying to connect a Cinema monitor to a MacBook Pro 2016, so I have to connect USB-C to mini display port (I have that adapter) and then have to get from the 30" cinema monitor's DVI to mini display port. I can't make it work with the Apple version and some people got it to work with this part. But why would that work?

BEST ANSWER: Only difference between this and something like #12741 or #5106 would be this adapter has the USB for the audio instead passing both the audio and video through the Mini DisplayPort connection.
If you have a computer that has a Mini DisplayPort/ Thunderbolt 2 connection that passes both video and audio it would be best to go with one of the other adapters.

Great device
Works great, just plug it into a USB port and the DisplayPort and away it goes at QHD (2560x1440). Every once in a while (fairly rarely) the monitor's input seems to turn off and on, but it's not that big of a deal.

Works great. It allowed me to connect my mini Display Port graphics card to my 30" Dual Link DVI monitor.

Works but not well....
I bought this to work with my Dell monitor and Macbook Pro to replace the Apple model that was having problems. I still get the same screen fluctuations but not as often. As this is the only model I have found (Apple does not make theirs anymore-- you can order and it won't ship), I assume I have to give up on this Monitor.
Non-powered adapters do not give the higher resolutions that I need in the 30" monitor. Could it just happen to be a defective model? I don't think so.

Works but I felt sick
I used this adapter to connect my 2017 MacBook Pro to my ancient 30" Apple Cinema Display, because it's still in great shape and this was cheaper than a new monitor!

Worked for a few months
Ordered this product mid March and have been using it no problem until this past week.
My computer will not detect the max resolution of my display when this adapter is connected when it did before. Tried resetting graphics drivers, restoring my system, and using different cables to no avail.
PROS:
-Works great if you need a temporary solution
-Inexpensive compared to other options
CONS:
-May fail without notice

Does what it is supposed to - for less!
Excellent product. Costs almost half as much as the Apple product and worked just perfectly.

Re-use of "vintage" Display
I have a Apple Cinema Display with a DVI connection that was considered vintage and unusable. I had tried several different combinations of adapters to connect to the Apple MiniDisplay. This was the only product that provided full resolution allowing well functioning hardware to continue to be used..
