BEST ANSWER: No, this is a USB hub.. The hub plugs into PC usb slot and you can plug up to 4 usb device (i.e flashdrives) into the USB hub. For the PC to read simultaneously.

BEST ANSWER: This is used to extend the amount of USB ports you have. Say your computer has two USB ports but you have a wireless mouse that needs one, a portable hard drive that needs one, and you want to charge your phone from your computer, this allows you to do all of that.

It’s a USB hub; in other words it splits a single USB port into multiple USB ports. As you might imagine, this can be extremely helpful. I use mine on my Xbox One so that I can have multiple wired controllers plugged in at the same time.

BEST ANSWER: It should. I use it with my Samsung tablet. as long as the MacBook Air takes USB and you have right adapter plug/cable to connect the Kobo and the Hub.

Not Work
The item stopped working just after I bought it. The device powers on when you plug it in, but when I plug in other USB items to it, they don't work or it is intermittent.
