In addition to the 25 ft. phono cable I also purchased a 15 foot HDMI cable, a 12 ft. optical cable and a 6 ft. USB extension cable. I have installed them all and as usual they are working fine and my cost was less than half of what it would have cost at a store like Best Buy or even Walmart. I always have and I will continue to get all my cables, adapters, etc. from Monoprice. My son recently bought a 3D printer from Monoprice and he is extremely satisfied with it.
loud buzzing sound when connecting my correctly working sub. Checked with an ohm meter and center and outside are connected when flexing the ends. Not worth shipping back due to cost. I cut the ends off to replace and found that the gauge of wire is very small and poorly shielded. Not worth placing new ends on. I went loca just so I could get my Sub moved.
Not for Subwoofers! Not Enough Shielding For Length!
The wires are thin but initially worked for Composite Video, but when I finished my setup and moved the wires to my two subwoofers, they each produced a hum when the av receiver was turned off. When the receiver was turned on, the hum went away. Another user recommended PID 3976. 4x's as much, but necessary to avoid the interference.
PROS: Very low cost and very long.
CONS: Introduced a loud "Hum" into my subwoofers when the receiver was turned off. Lack of shielding picks up interference along entire length of cord.
My apologies for the trouble you had with the rca cable you ordered. The 655 isn't as heavily shielded as our actual subwoofer cable which you will probably want to consider as you mentioned another user recommended. They are shielded against RF and EMI frequencies. If you like I can set up an RMA for a return on the 655 cable, I would just need an order number to get the process started. Again my apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

I used this to connect a wall plate to another wall plate to hook up my subwoofer.
