I'm sure it will work. It comes with a few extra spacers and screws for different projectors. As far as weight I used a project that weighed 12 lbs

Not too sure. We are using ours with an older version of an InFocus. So, if it fit ours i'm sure it'll fit yours.

The mounting plate is 6" across - but it has 4 slideable extenders that go up to another 4", 2 in each direction, so probably very securely. Hope that helps.

Is the thread standard pipe thread? Wondering if I could use the mounting head to mount my projector onto a standard black pipe for more extension.
Jesse
on Jan 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes I believe it is. It comes with two pieces of pipe so you could put a third piece in the middle if you wanted to. They are put together with the little push ball to connect the two together.

How tall totally is this mount. I need one that is at least 48 to 60 inches long?
John M
on Apr 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I can't recall exactly how long it was, but I know it's not over 48 inches. However I had the same problem and couldn't locate a longer one. I purchased EMT pipe the same diameter. Cut it to the length I needed, and painted it flat black. Couldn't tell it wasn't factory

Yup! The middle section of pole has holes evenly spaced between the 4 screws shown in the picture. The challenge I had was my projector is a 3 hole mount and this one is designed for 4 holes on the projector. Took some creatvity to make it work but managed to and it's great.

Will this mount work for Acer P6500?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
Probably but we cannot find any info online showing the mounting hole spacing on that Acer Projector.
It would be best to contact Acer to see if they could confirm the pattern to see if It would work.

Can I mount this to a floor joist? The pole would come out of the top mount at a 90 degree angle. Instead of mounting to the ceiling.

Really good and sturdy, could be better with minor
Easy to install very sturdy a little tough to adjust. Very flexible for minor adjustments in tilt and swivel. Would have been better if the height adjustments were not screw in nuts but were quick release cotter pins or other types of adjustable pins.

At most 3 stars
I give 3 stars for 3 reason: (1) for it's reasonable price and (2) extended length, (3) solid material.
Many reviews mentioned about tight connection between extensions. It's not any more, very easy to connect all 3 extensions. This makes the long extension floppy. I hoped that was a tight connection, "need hammer to push in" as many reviewed to make a solid connection. The top part to screw onto the ceiling is very badly designed. In North America, ceiling is most likely the wood stud. It can't be that wide. The large and floppy fixture is very ugly. The mount of the projector is too large for my SONY BRAVIA VPL-HW 3 hole projector. The mount to the extension is only one screw and looks scary. At the end, I had to use the old mount top (it happened that pushed in the extension very tightly) to make it look nicer. The result: floppy mount. It would probably OK if nothing vibrates and moves. I don't know yet, need to wait and see.
PROS: (1) price
(2) length
(3) steel extension
CONS: (1) floppy extension
(2) ugly and impractical ceiling mount part
(3) not flexible mounting piece on the projector
(4) one screw mount mechanism for the heavy projector

Excellent Value
Thoroughly surprised by the sturdy construction of this product. Fits our needs perfectly.
PROS: Rugged Construction. Easy assembly - Very adjustable to fit any projector -
CONS: The only difference I really see between this and a high priced model would be micro adjustability. For our uses this unit is perfect.

Worked but not with a lot of effort
I am usually amazed at the quality of the product for the price it is sold for on here, but this product truly lived up to Cheap! there was a welding bead running down the inside of the main support pipe, which in its self is not a problem unless you have to slide another pipe (the extension) into it, than you don have the clearance. so have about 20 min of filing with a rat tail file we shaved down the bead so that the 2 poles fit together. when we went hang the projector we lifted it up (50 lbs) and held it there while we screwed in the thumb screw to attach the projector mount to the pole mount .. and as we release our support the thumb screw pulled right out! So we pulled down the projector and we split the pan tilt mount, and using a bolt and a nylock nut we replaced the thumb screw and bolted the unit together.. re hung the projector and all is good.. so you see it worked, but it took some effort.
PROS: inexpensive, seem like it will hold up
CONS: Pole are rolled steel and welded they are not tube steel and therefore don't slide into each other like they should.
single bolt to attach mount to the pole never held, and stripped immediately.
