BEST ANSWER: Hello, thank you for your question. While it should work fine in theory, we have not tested this mount for that specific application and therefore cannot recommend it for that use. Also, while we do strive to include all measurements and diagrams on the product page, if there is a specific measurement you are looking for, please email tech@monoprice.com. That way they can refer to our vendor and provide you with the appropriate specifications you are looking for. I hope this helps, thank you!

My desk is 0.75 inches thick, will this mount to my desk?
A shopper
on Oct 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I see no reason why it wouldn't. There's plenty of length on the setscrew, underneath.
If you're still concerned, you could simply put a block of wood about 3/4" thick, in between the setscrew and desk.

Very solid monitor mount
Like others have noted, this is a fantastic value. I reclaimed some valuable desk space by using this mount instead of the stock stand - and it is more resistant to knocking over a monitor by accident. The quality of construction is far above expectation for the price paid. The only knock on the product is that it is very easy to nudge the monitor around with the lightest of pressure.
PROS: Great price, solid mount to desk
CONS: The monitor can be nudged around too easily

My first VESA desk mount
For the price, you can't beat this. Works great with my 22" LCD at work. I had to mount it to the side of my desk because that's the only place my desk has a lip to clamp it to. Either way, after a week of using this mount, I will never look back. Definitely going to be ordering a few more for my multi monitor setup at home. Looks clean and even has a palstic loop hook for cable management. Came with 2 Allen keys but I needed a phillips screwdriver to put the included screws into the back of the monitor and a small flathead to tighten the setting screws that hold the monitor plate into the mount. Overall a solid product. I would recommend it to anyone.
PROS: Price
Quality
More desk space
CONS: Setting screws were a bit tough to tighten the first time with a small screwdriver.

Simple, Cheap, Effective
This is probably the best $20 desk mount I've ever used. Very solid and sits perfectly level if you take your time when tightening the main clamp screws. Only downfall is pivot/tilt must be done then removed from mount to tighten up. Little bit of a hassle but is still easily done with some patience and a helping hand.
PROS: Very easy to mount
Solid Base
Allen Keys included
Height adjustment locks in place
CONS: Tilt/Pivot adjustment weak
Polished only, no black available

Well designed stand
I love the new screw design which uses 2 points instead of one to secure it to the table. The old design with a single point tended to twist a lot during use with a touchscreen monitor.
PROS: This is a nice design improvement over the previous model. It's sturdy, inexpensive, and high quality. I like the chrome pole, and no I'm not a stripper.
CONS: No way to prevent it from tilting. Only thing I don't like about it is that it still tilts when you touch it and there is no way to lock it in place. I use it with my point of sale system with an Elo Touchscreen monitor and when you swipe a credit card it will tilt to one side most of the time if you have the credit card reader attached to the side. There is also a plastic piece that is easy to lose if you are not careful. The plastic piece I am referring to holds the bracket to the pole and if you loosen it too much, it will slip out and you have to figure out where it goes.

Fantastic!
I highly recommend it.
PROS: Great functionality. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product. It has a nice weight to it, and fully supports my screens.
CONS: Only setback is that I had to drill a hole into the back of my desk to attach the mount. But it was well worth it!

Surprisingly solid. Literally, 5 minutes from my front door until I was done. What an improvement for my desk and my ergonomics. I've never been so pleased with a product to write a review, but I'm very happy with this one!

Pretty nice simple monitor mount!
Nice little desktop mount! Holds my 19" LCD display with no problems whatsoever. Easy to set up, and the monitor stays put once you get it where you want itno drooping, etc. Really a great deal for the money. The only negative worth noting is that, at least attached to ~1" thick desk, I found it's a delicate balance between getting it securely tightened on the desk, and OVER-tightening it, which stretches out/bends the U-shaped bracket that attaches to the desk. I imagine the thicker the desk you are attaching this to, the less of an issue that is. YMMV, obviously... Either way, at this price, it's definitely worth giving a shot!
PROS: Sturdy, easy to set up and adjust, monitor stays where you set it. Excellent price!!

Sturdy and Minimalistic
This mount is solid. I put a Dell 24in monitor on it. Took 15min to setup. I actually like the fact it requires hex keys to adjust height/mount tension. I do not like plastic twist tabs to adjust tension, feels flimsy.
I am able keep my monitor elevated and recapture the desk space under the monitor for small items like my slim sound bar.
PROS: Sturdy
Stylish
Hex key system ensures tension
Easy setup
Rotates, tilts, and swivels easily
