I use Monoprice cables for my HDTV, to connect my modem and router, and on my computer. Monoprice cables are always high quality, great pricing and fast shipping. I like the slim cables because they are so easy to work with. Monoprice has a really good selection of items to choose from. Highly recommend
looked nice enough, never really worked right. too much interference from anything connected to my laptop, same... desktop, same... easily checked with multiple monitors. save yourself the headache and just buy the one with better shielding.
I added a headless file server to my LAN. While I can use an SSH console to access the server, I have found that the SSH may not work if I have screwed something up. My fallback, which is direct access to the file server console, requires a male-male VGA cable from the file server to my desktop monitor's VGA port. I went to Monoprice to search, since I know that they have hundreds of cables in every conceivable configuration. It takes just minutes to locate the right cable and order it. The product is delivered in 2 days. Voila! Problem solved.
I bought three of these. After minimal use with one of them (maybe 6-7 uses) it has already failed to function properly. This cable is used in a conference room and connects to a vga port on a wall plate which then goes through the wall to the mounted television. Users will come in and connect the cable to the wall and to their laptop. This cable is now producing many shades of green and yellow when plugged in. If you wiggle the cable at the base of the connection, on either end, it will start to come in clear, but you have to hold it there. I have swapped it out with another one of the three that I initially bought and for now that one is working fine it its place without having to hold it a certain way.
I would not buy this cable again, at least not for one that will be plugged and unplugged when in use or not in use. I need one that's going to be a little more sturdy.
Thank you for your review. And I am truly sorry to hear of your experience you have had with this product. For now, if you prefer, I can assist you in setting you up for a replacement on the item if you haven't done so already. We do have a lifetime warranty on cables as well as a 1 year warranty for everything else. It will be of no additional cost to obtain a replacement, so please let me know if you want to continue. I would just require your order# to set it up. Thank you!

Great VGA cable with minimal bulk
I had a 1.5ft version of this cable that was defective, but the two 6ft cables and the replacement 1.5ft cable (which Monoprice provided with no hassle) have all performed excellently. Low price and less bulk make for a winning combination!
If they could make the ferrite beads a little longer and slimmer or something, that might "feel" better than what's on there now. Really a minor gripe though, and not a deal-breaker unless the little bit of extra bulk right toward the ends of the cables is an absolute showstopper for your particular installation situation.
PROS: Less bulky and stiff than regular VGA cables no noticeable signal quality loss on a 24" LCD
CONS: Ferrite beads seem bulkier (probably because they're the same outside diameter as on regular VGA cables, but the thinner cable makes them seem fatter)
Pretty much exactly as advertised. It's an inexpensive cable that connects my laptop to my monitor. Looks like it'll hold up just about as well as all the other VGA cables, and get lost just as quickly prompting me to buy another. Maybe there's some really important aspect of the cable I'm missing, but as far as connecting a monitor into a computer, it's exactly what you'd expect.
PROS: Inexpensive Flexible Advertised length Standard quality
