Is this cable shielded?
A shopper
on Mar 7, 2023
BEST ANSWER: I’d say yes it is. Firstly, it’s co-ax and they are always shielded in my experience. Secondly, it works like a dream without any video interference or audio hum. Top quality and value. I did not cut it open to inspect the shielding but as saying goes the proof of the pudding is in the taste!

How many awg for the 15ft?
A shopper
on Sep 5, 2023
BEST ANSWER: It's RG6 cable. The wire gauge shouldn't be relevant to your application; any cable that meets the RG6 spec will be fine where RG6 is called for. But typically, RG6 cable uses 18 AWG center conductor. If you still think you need to care what the wire gauge is, at least for the center conductor, this cable almost certainly follows that convention and so would be 18 AWG also. See e.g. Wikipedia's article on RG-6, and any number of other web references, for more details.

What gauge is the signal conductor? Is it solid or multi-strand? Is it pure copper or copper coated aluminum? If multi-strand, how many strands? Why not include that information in the product description so potential customers don't have to ASK!

BEST ANSWER: This 6RG/U cable is 18-gauge solid bare copper, not copper-coated aluminum. It is shielded, probably with Mylar or foil.

Quality RCA cable
I use this for a subwoofer connection. Fittings are tight, but not too tight. Pleased with the connections and quality of the wire. No humming or other distortion.

2023 High Quality Subwoofer Cable
This product felt of superior quality. The rubber jacket is made of great quality. This is not a cheap Subwoofer cable. Not everything that is a lower cost a cheap product. This is a mass producing product which in turn can be sold at a lower cost.
Monoprice, I would be more than happy to review more of your products online for the new and current generation. So many people have never heard of you and that is so much money at a loss. Anyways, great product. Using this on a Marantz SR-5015 and the Elac Sub1010.

Another high value cable from Monoprice
Good cable with less signal loss than other much more expensive cables I tried.
Only downside is that it is thick and heavy but that's not so bad for the good analog music signal quality with no noise.
Well made also.
