Gonna mod all of these Indios with super nice hardware and wiring.

Would be a great guitar if it had better tuners and fretwork.

This is a great guitar played it right out of the box.

I bought this to mod, and for that, it's a great platform. Notes:
1-it looks great. Everything is well made and the tolerances are acceptable.

2-paint. Mine is white, and it's nicely painted, but a warning: the color online always seems to have an icy-blue tint to it, but that is just an illusion. I'd looked at enough other photos to know it was true white, though. So all good.

3-the pickups: shockingly good.

4-the trem: very stiff, which is fine by me, because I'd rather have a hardtail (or a Bigsby) anyway.

5-the fretboard: ok, I hate to be ambiguous, but the fretboard just feels weird. Maybe it's the frets themselves, but it's the only truly odd/disconcerting thing in the guitar. Not sure what to do about that.

Basically, it's worth the price, and the price is determining what you get. You get a good guitar that's playable, looks good, and makes all the right noises when plugged in.

My guitar is absolutely incredible. I never imagined that I would find a guitar at this price point that was nearly perfect out of the box. Finish is perfect, no flaws. Hardware works fine and the tuners are smooth. Nut is plastic, but very well cut and string height is within specs at first fret. Action is actually a little lower than specs, which was nice. Fret ends could be a little smoother, but they are not sharp. Trem is decked so I put the springs on straight and adjusted the screws and claw a small amount to let it work one way. Saddles were properly intonated and adjusted to the same radius as the neck (12 inch). Electronics are typical import style with dime sized pots and a sealed switch. The pots both have nice tapers and work very well. The 5 way switch clicks into each position smoothly and works fine. Output jack also works fine. Pickups are 2 wire ceramics. They are matched well and give you all of the sounds of a typical HSS guitar. The only mod that I have made so far is to swap out the white tipped trem arm with a cream tipped arm from the parts cabinet. Now everything matches. The guitar that I received is actually white. It looks a little blue on my computer screen, but it is actually white, which is exactly what I wanted. I've been looking for a Fender Jaguarillo style guitar, but with a modern trem. I thought that I would just have to build one, but then found this and jumped on it. FWIW I highly recommend it.

Picture was a little off from my phone. It's white but blue. Other than that, it looks great sounds great! Maybe tuners not the best. Otherwise this guitar surpasses expectations. I would say it's better than bigger names in the industry. The frets need worn in, which I don't know how to explain there is a gritty feeling. In my experience this disappears after playing. I like the pickups! If it's not your flavor, change them. Love the offset look!! Wish it followed more like a super sonic or full on jazz! The main problem I have is the design of all these guitars that mimic the strat in some way. Be original make more design changes. I hate trems. Most players I know never use them. Stop putting them on every single guitar. Fixed bridges are cheaper too!! And all the crap trem systems give you terrible intonation once you use them! My two cents.

Another great value Indio guitar from Monoprice. This is an interesting mix of an offset solid body with an HSS pickup combination that would be at home on a Strat. Mine arrived with a decent setup and smooth edges on the frets. Toying with the idea of replacing the pickups, but in no hurry to do so.

Shipping was fairly quick under a week. Box was damaged but guitar was not due to gig bag. Finish on guitar was almost flawless. However the frets were not. They were very sharp on ends, very gritty and a few were high. After a couple hours leveling rounding ends and then polishing and oiling fretboard looks feels great. While I had neck off I added copper shielding tape under pick guard and replaced tone pot with coil split as the humbucker was 4 wire a nice surprise. I also lightly sanded back of neck polished it and added roller string tree in place of cheap one on faceplate. After I got everything back together I intonated and reset height to 1.5 mms tightened tunners as they were loose and adjusted truss rod a little bit for correct relief, set pickup height. and finally polished body back of neck with Bee?s spray. After this complete set up and new strings 9-42?s I can say wow I have a gigable great sounding guitar. Not great for beginner without setup.

I've purchased three monoprice guitars, and 1 amp. Extremely satisfied. While guitars will require minor adjustments, setup, etc they are an incredible option in affordable guitars. I've been wanting the OS series and they can be tough to get. Very excited to see what comes,
