How do these compare to Product # 612749, the Stage Right by Monoprice 10-watt x 9 LED Flat PAR Stage Light (RGBW)?

Stage Right by Monoprice 3x 3W LED Truss Warmer DMX RGB PAR Stage Wash Light with Remote
Stage Right by Monoprice 9x10W Quad LED Flat PAR RGBW Stage Wash Light 90W Output
BEST ANSWER: The fixtures have different purposes. I recently purchased a TRUSST Goal Post truss system. I use four of these truss wash lights to warm the truss. The truss lights are quite bright within the first six feet of truss. After that, it gets a bit dimmer, but still works well warming the inside of the truss. I also purchased eight of the 10x9 flat par stage lights to hang from the truss. The 10x9 lights are VERY bright and in smaller rooms, we angle them about 45 degrees towards the floor. Even at that angle, they put out quite a bit of light in front of the band.
Both fixtures have some weak, typical fade auto-run shows. However, the 10x9 fixtures have a "follow" mode that can be used to simulate chase effects using two or more fixtures. Since we have eight of these fixtures, the follow mode is quite attractive. (Follow mode can be controlled with the back panel or with DMX.)
Depending on my needs, I would definitely purchase either of these products.

i haven’t seen the truss fixture in action, but the difference between 3w x 3 led’s vs. 10w x 9 led’s is pretty substantial as far as brightness. You also get a separate white whereas the truss fixture only has rgb which won’t produce the same color temp as having the separate true-ish white to play with. The truss fixture has the remote option which is helpful when not using a dmx controller, but in my opinion, if you plan on using your lights for anything besides warming up truss or similar accent type lighting you get much more bang for your buck with the other one.

I am not familiar with the Stage right truss, However I can say that if you are looking for an LED that is bright the Flat PAR stage light is not your light. It creates more of a light wash at a distance than I would have liked. But for the price point you get what you pay for. I'd recommend the Ultra Bright LED by monoprice. It's more versatile than the Flat PAR

The Stage Right by Monoprice 10-watt x 9 LED Flat PAR Stage Light (RGBW) worked well for my application. I used 2 of them for non professional stage lighting of about 20ft across...was back about 20ft as well.. Don't know about the other.

I used the Truss wash UP light in a different application, but if I remember, I was happy with the brightness and functionality of the light, I plan to use them again. Sorry i do not have more info, i did this a year ago.

Are these light wireless?

BEST ANSWER: These little lights are awesome for the price. I used 24 of them for up lighting walls during banquet and I've even used them along the side of an auditorium for holiday events. To your question, Yes and No. If you are using them to be controlled by DMX, they are not wireless. If you are using them for up lighting or other decorative purposed, you can use the remote control from a feet away and not have to deal with switches. In general, if they are going to stay on the whole time you are using them, then the remote is a quick way to set them as you plugged them in. I often lend my LED lights to community groups for galas or other social events. I have many IEC extension power cables (some people call them computer power cables or AV guys call tehm D plugs) and link them together instead of having to run each unit directly to an outlet. It is a much cleaner look and it save a lot of time. monoprice sells the cables in various lengths. You also have the option of hooking the units together with DMX cables and use the first one to work with the remote and the rest can be set in the "Slave" mode. If you have to change all of the units, all you have to do is use the remote on the first units in the chain.

They need a power cord.
They do not connect to anything though and work standalone or DMC cable.

How many hours the battery last? And also is it wireless
A shopper

BEST ANSWER: This is not a battery powered unit. There are some on the market that have the same shaped case with batteries. They cost 3 to 4 times the price. I have 20 of these. For most set ups, I link the power using male to female cables that monoprice sells. They have an IEC power input, like almost all computers use.

Are they battery powered?
A shopper
on Oct 23, 2021
BEST ANSWER: They only run on AC power. I use the wash units quite often. I own over 20. I use IEC male to female cables (Computer power type of connector) to link them together to keep the wiring looking clean and to save time. Monoprice sells the cables. In some cases battery powered fixtures are nice. If you have to replace the batteries, they are often more than half the price of the main unit. I often used them for shows that run multiple shows, so having them corded saves me time having to deal with charging them up.

What do you suggest for mounting brackets inside of a square truss?
A shopper
on Dec 6, 2021
BEST ANSWER: There are threaded holes on the sides (3 total) where you can insert bolts. I mounted mine facing downwards because they are in front of projection screens and I didn't want the light from these to wash out any of the picture. I ended up fabricating a bracket that I attached to my truss (8" truss, so it's fairly tight anyway) that it sits on. I then used a piece of chain and some rubber to tie it all in. Unless you use the threaded holes, and even then, you may need to get a little creative depending on your set up. Good luck!

Great lights, slightly awkward in the Monoprice Truss
I got these to mount inside the monoprice truss, and I got them situated eventually and they look good, but it took some fidgeting to get it to work. I had to build caps for the truss, bolt them down, and then these lights only fit in one way, maybe, and they don't like being velcroed to the caps. This meant that I had to drill through and bolt them to the caps, using washers as offsets. Again, it looks ok, but it was messy.

Nice tight beam, great for accents
I'm a fan of the Wedge Tri that these are a clone of, but not their price. These are good knockoffs, narrow bright beam, perfect for lighting truss or putting a streak of color on a wall. No fan so zero noise.
They are not the same as the Wedge DMX-wise, but it shouldn't be hard to make a profile for them in your software.

Almost perfect bargain light for mid-sized truss warmers.
I purchased four of these fixtures to mount in a TrussT goal post system. They are quite bright and look great in the truss. I'm giving four stars because several of these fixtures have a loose part rattling in them. As long as the fixtures work, I'm ok with the rattle, but it shows there is an issue either with the build or QC.
