Only the OS20 has a 5 way since it has 3 pickups (HSS).....Humbucker,Single,Single.The OS30 and OS40 have 2 P90 Single coils,therefore only 3 way switches.I have all 3 OS's and love them all

there's several versions of a strat that Indio carries, but if you're referring to the $99 cali ,then I would consider the neck to be identical.
My cali at least with rosewood fingerboard, is the exact neck as the one on this offset.Same frets.

Scale length?
A shopper
on Jul 21, 2022
You list the scale as 648mm (same as 25.5 inches). But why doesn’t Indio offer a short scale of 24.0 inches as found on the Fender/Squire Mustang and Jaguar models?

I don’t know the exact scale length, but it feels like a standard Les Paul.

The standard scale length on most Gibson electric guitars (including all Les Paul models) is actually 24.75 inches (or 628 mm).

648 mm or just a touch over 25.5 inches. Think Stratocaster.

Jazzmaster-style guitars. What is the difference between the DLX OS30 and DLX OS40 models?
Dennis T
on Dec 11, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Besides the finish options and fingerboard wood, the main difference is the bridge. OS30 uses a strat type tremolo while the OS40 uses a more traditional for this kind of guitar tremolo. Hope that this helps.

OS30- Rosewood fingerboard, basswood body, Strat style bridge and whammy bar. OS40- Maple fingerboard, alder body, Jazzmaster style bridge and whammy bar. Neither of these have the thumbwheel controls as found on the Jazzmaster. I own the OS30, and it definitely has some serious mojo- but I wish I had bought the OS40 instead, for the upgrades.

BEST ANSWER: Hi and thank you for your question. The Monoprice Indio guitars are similar, but the pickguard is slightly different in shape and screw hole placement. There are a variety of custom pickguard companies out there that can make one, or if you already know how to, you can purchase a sheet, cut it, and sand it to the desired shape and size.

A so so P90 Offset Guitar.
Appearance wise, it was fine. Guitar had no setup at all. Intonation is out and lots of feet buzz. I suspect I'll need. To spend another hundred dollars at least to get it set-up to playable condition. Compared to a. Fender Squire it's a bit lacking. Well make a interesting Arts project

Big bang for the buck
I've had my eye out for a good , low cost P90 style guitar. At 224.99 canadian I thought it will adequate at best. Well well was I surprised. This thing is a dream to play. I have been playing for decades and at least 100 guitars have passed through my ownership over the years. This one stands out as a WTF, this is amazing for the price. I have never played a genuine Fender jazzmaster, but will be on my next opportunity to feel the comparison and not pay 4 to 8/9 times the price of this guitar. I think Monoprice has smitten me

My New Favorite!
I bought this guitar because it looks like my first electric, a Fender Mustang which I got in 1967. I didn't expect it to play well or sound good because of the low price, but it is just as good (but with a different "voice") as my American Professional Stratocaster at $1600.00 and my Carvin DC 137 at $700.00. The "soap bar" pickups produce a very clean sound (pun intended) with no hum or buzz as you might expect from an inexpensve electric. The bridge pickup sounds a lot like a Telecaster. The neck pickup has its own unique "fat" sound, but not quite as fat as a Stratocaster. I love this guitar! You need to buy this guitar before Monoprice realizes what they have and raises the price!

solid guitar!
A very solid guitar for the price. The neck had a few minor imperfections on the fretboard, but the frets themselves were well cut and rounded. No buzzing on the fretboard as well. The P90 "soapbar" pick ups sound amazing. Great all around purchase and would recommend.

3rd Indio
This is my 3rd Indio guitar and may be my favorite.
Nice guitar for the price. It came with the action set pretty well, the intonation was way off but that's an easy fix.

Own-Play-Love 60ish yr old
11/14/2023
Sold my '62 Original Jazzmaster years ago. It was great playing. Been wanting a Blues guitar for a long time and heard of this guitar. I purchased a new G. Les Paul Custom in March '23 and sent it back. Didn't feel or play like $ 2500.00.
This Indio Offset OS30 DLX Guitar, Ivory. Is Everything I could ever want in a guitar. It rocks and it's a blues guitar. Extremely well Crafted. Feel is like it wants to be next to you. These pick ups give sounds you don't hear these days. It's growls when you crank it up and beautiful clear when you want clean.
The neck is Unbelievable > GREAT-Fantastic ! Smooth slick and fast. I play ALL 22 frets and they are all awesome.
It comes set-up and actually " in tune " after taking it out of the beautiful case it was in. I do all my own 'tweeking' . As we-all-do.
I will Honestly tell you-- If I was blind folded and handed this guitar to play, then asked what I'd give for it. I AM TELLING YOU.. $ 1000.00
The $ 2500.00 Les Paul I sent back doesn't even come close to playability, feel and just plain 'lacking'.
I use the Trem/whammy and this stays IN-Tune.
I said 1k because = it's ivory white. Not a quilted maple top , just regular tuners but high quality ones.
OK ---> here are the Cons. mono directional trem/whammy. meaning you cannot pull up. I would like to have Locking tuners BUT the way these factory's are working...I may not need 'em.
THAT'S IT !! If I could ? I still would not change a Single thing. This neck is a dream. The sound beats a humbucker and single coil any day. This guitar becomes Alive in your hands. Remember Soapbar pick ups and Craftsmanship. It's not too heavy and not too light. I am considered a professional player by many. I just like playing and have since I was 8.
I know this may sound wierd.. But , of all guitars I have played and own- ( high quality nice ones ) This is in my top 3 for Overall playability and personality.
I'm just enjoyin playing music here in Western ILLINOIS , Chris G. p.s. > it's better than my ole '62 ever was.

Very impressed with this guitar
Great guitar ! I've always wanted an offset guitar...love the look of that style.
The OS30 was very affordable, and the quality was way above what I expected.
Once I did a setup and put new strings on it plays really well ! Not a tremolo user so can't comment on that.
All in all I can't believe they can put out such a nice product so inexpensively.

Mostly good, a little work required, as with everything!
I really love this guitar, even if it's not perfect. These soapbar pickups sound surprising good! The body is in really nice shape and the colour is more vintage white (hard to tell in the picture). It feels well balanced on the lap and standing - and I actually prefer the Strat style trem over the JM style one (more stable). Surprisingly, I really love the gloss neck on these Indios, even over the satin ones in my collection already!
I changed the tone & volume knobs because they looked cheap. The frets don't stick out at all, but the corner edges of each fret are rather sharp and need to be rounded off. I may replace/upgrade the tuners eventually, but they are perfectly fine for now.
I really like this guitar - I don't see me having to upgrade to a higher-level offset as this one scratches all those itches!
