If it isn't exactly then it's unnoticably close. I've played a Fender StarCaster (not the most expensive guitar, I know but it got the job done throughout high school) and this feel exactly the same in terms of size. It actually feels pretty high quality to me (I'm no professional) and the sound is good. What's really impressive is you can play it right out of the box after you tune it. Some of the more advanced players in the reviews section have some suggestions on how to modify this guitar to play like a much more expensive one for relatively cheap, but if you're just the average college guitar player who plays for fun and/or in public, then this guitar is great! The tuner is built in and the colors are beautiful, gig bag is a nice touch, only thing you'll need to add are a strap and some picks! Feels and plays perfectly fine on all my amps as well as acoustic (might've over-answered, my bad)
TL;DR: Yes, scale size is 650 mm which according to google is the standard size for guitars like Fenders

I am not familiar with the cedar and spruce models, but I do have the "Blue Burst". I can tell you that it is a full-sized guitar. When I play, it feels right, like a regular acoustic guitar should. Over all it is 41 inches tall, the body is 20 7/8 inches tall, it is 15 7/8 inches at the widest point of the body and it is 4 9/16 inches thick.
I'm happy with mine. It's a great guitar for the price.

I do belive so that it is,and if I am not mistaken it may a tiny bit larger to accomodare the electric suspension properties,I cannot for certain at this this time, I have not yet recieved my guitars at this time, but you can have faiththat the idlewild is always comparitive to the other standard models of guitars on the market.

Yes I purchased this because i wanted to learn to play the guitar without spending a lot of money and I was impressed with the look and sound I even had a friend of mine who plays the guitar try it out and he said it really looks great and plays great. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I’m 5’2” tall, and for me, this guitar is really huge. I can still reach the neck and the strings, but I probably would have been better off with a smaller guitar. I found that adding a strap made it a lot easier to handle, even sitting, because it takes the stress of holding the guitar away from my arms. As said by others, it’s a really nice deal for the price, and it sounds and looks good.

It plays fine. A little twangy at first but the more you play the better it sounds. You notice quickly isn't a top quality guitar, but for the price that playability, project, and overall sound is completely acceptable.

What gauge are the stock strings on this guitar? It is set up perfectly and I want to change the strings, but I don't want to use a different gauge. Thanks.

What is the neck shape? I'm looking for a very slim neck like Blueridge guitars have.

BEST ANSWER: Thanks for your interest in our guitars. The neck on our Idyllwild acoustic guitars is a soft "C" shape. It is fairly thin compared to many acoustics so it is comfortable to play but thick enough to feel substantial. Give it a shot. If you do not like it you can take advantage of our 30 day money back guarantee. I think you will like it, especially for the money.

Very slim? I,d say slim. I referr to it as a fast neck unlike those so called telephone pole necks. Hope that helped

Good deal
Really excellent deal. The finish is maybe what you'd expect from a $100 or so guitar, not perfect, but very good. Sounds nice. The built in tuner works. I haven't tried the pickup yet.

A nice enough guitar if you have the skills and tools to set it up . It is definitely not something to give to a beginner .

Good starter but not great.
Maybe 3.5 stars. Loose wires in the cavity can be heard shifting around when I move the guitar. The built-in tuner is only somewhat accurate. The upper strings lose tuning after a day of non-use.

Surprising quality for the price.
My whole family has been enjoying this guitar. We leave it in the living room with an amp ready to play. Good action, nice sound. The built-in tuner is handy.

Great inexpensive guitar!
Great guitar for $99. Took it to a local guitar guy to fix a couple buzzing frets and adjust the action - for another $20 - and it plays and sounds great now!
