I don't understand the negative reviews of this guitar unless I just got lucky and some how I don't think so
I purchased the l.p.style dlx plus Honey burst last year and both guitars came with little to do other than tune em up
I would definitely recommend this guitar for any and all players who want a nice s style guitar without spending alot of money
Previous owner of a mim strat and a USA strat and I'll say this is just as without the name on the headstock
Get with it you won't be disappointed
And if you are monoprice gives cash refunds up to 30 days and a full year on the guitar if something fails not due to your negligence of course

A really excellent value of a guitar for the price. The promised setup is basic but definitely competent-no fret sprout, intonation pretty much perfect, and no significant fret buzz. It was ready to play out of the box. It feels weighty since it's made of ash-it's heavier than many Strats so be aware-and the alnico pickups sound great. Since I got the HSS model the humbucker is also nice and thick, great for leads and solos. You still get the Strat bright tone on the single coil pickups too.

There were a few rough edges, though-not enough to ruin it by any means but worth noting. The biggest issue is the trem system-the plate in the back was not only misaligned but the holes themselves were not lined up evenly. It's also hard to reach the tightness screw for the pop in trem bar; I had to take out the entire bridge to get to it. The tuners are also not the most precise either, though it does stay in tune.

I still recommend it though. This feels like a $400 guitar, not $230.
