BEST ANSWER: Mine is a two piece body, but the joint is very subtle. In this case “solid ash” means that it isn’t made of laminate/plywood. For context, Leo Fender used one, two, or three piece ash or alder bodies, and plenty of reputable builders even use 4 piece bodies with veneer tops and backs. With solid colors it is even less obvious, and some people believe that glued joints are stronger than single piece bodies. So long as it is resonant and stable, the number of pieces isn’t a huge concern—especially if the builder book-matches well (as is the case with most of these Indios).

No. In the one I have, it is 3 pieces of solid ash glued together to form the body (looks great imho). The body is not chambered. It does not have any cap. For example, a Les Paul can have 2 or 3 pieces of mahogany glued to make the body, then have a maple cap on top. It may or may not be chambered , depending on the model.

Yes, the body on our Indio is fabricated from a single piece of ash. As you are probably aware some guitar manufacturers glue together several pieces of wood to form a laminate which then becomes the guitar body. However, Indio takes the extra step and fabricates the body from a single piece of ash. Hope this helps..

No, it means it's not a hollow body. I ordered one that had a defect and had to exchange it. It was actually a two piece body. The replacement was one piece. So it can be a one piece, but that's not guaranteed.

No it can be multiple peices glued together and be solid. The areas for the pickups are then routed out for them to be installed.
I can say it is a very well made guitar and plays well.

It is not a single piece of ash. It is a 3 piece, but the pieces are well matched.

No. It means the entire body is ash and it is solid, not chambered.

Yes. It’s nearly identical to a strat. It is a solid block of wood that is shaped. Has a great feel. Solid, but comfortable up against the body when you're playing.

Yes it's a full bodied strat. Nice grain and weighted too. I didn't want the poplar stuff that's out there. It costs more but I feel it's worth it.

Are the Wilkonson pickups alnico v?
Is the trem 2 point or 6 screws ?
Is the trem 2 point or 6 screws ?

BEST ANSWER: The trem is vintage 6 point. Can't say on the pickups. This was the only Indio I sent back. I've kept 3 Indio Electrics and 2 Idyllwild acoustics, and of course I still have the outstanding 15watt tube amp... I find some of the hotter pickups available don't play nice with the front end on some of the other amps I use.

I haven't looked at the pickups but I can address the trem. Mine was advertised as a 2 point but came as a 6 screw. I sent a complaint but didn't hear back so take your chances. I don't use the trem much so it wasn't a deal breaking issue for me. The guitar sounds good but it is ash so it's heavy for a "Strat".

The pictured in the ad is a 2 screw trem, the one I received was a 6 screw cheap china trem and the pickups where also cheap ceramic magnet pickups. I sent it back for a refund.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. At the moment we do not have the exact neck pocket specs, but you may need some modifications done before fitting the parts together. We recommend that if you proceed, please proceed with caution.

Master luthier setup, not hardly.
The only proper setup work done that I could tell was the guitar was intonated.
The string action was higher than most acoustic guitars.
The abs plastic nut slots were cut way too deep.
The neck required a serious fret level with bad spots in about twenty places.
With a graphtech nut installed and the frets leveled, crowned and polished it plays well with nice low action.
Needing so much fretwork surprised me because the fret ends looked nicely finished for a budget guitar.
The Wilkinson m series hardware and pickups on this guitar are a subpar line and not up to the quality of their regular product line. I do think the pickups sound pretty good.
The hardware is decent but about what you would find on a Squier standard strat.
I'm happy with the guitar at $132.49 shipped because I can make it play well, but most people can't.
I wouldn't have been at the regular price of $229.
The cost to pay someone to do the work I did on this guitar you'd be at Squier classic vibe money.
I have the CV 60's strat and it was really good out of the box.

Excellent Guitar!
Fit and finish are excellent. Setup was good. Tremolo was decked (which is how I like it) so if you plan on doing any dive bombs you'd want to adjust this. Fretwork is better than that I have encountered on much more expensive guitars. Great tuning stability and sustain . I bought the DLX Plus instead of the base model mainly for the bridge, intending to upgrade the pickups, but the Wilkinson pickups sound so good I am reluctant to change anything!

Great guitar and well set up. Plays really well.only complaint is the tremolo could have been set up better ,it was decked to the body and would not budge ,but after some utube videos I learned how to adjust it. It?s well worth the money and I love it!

My new favorite Axe
This is without a doubt one of the best budget guitars made. They set this up nearly perfect from the factory. I barely had to make any adjustments when I took it out of the box. Great resonance from the ash body, bridge and pickups are very good. Satin maple has excellent feel. I sold my PRS SE shortly after receiving this guitar.

It's another great guitar from Indio by Monoprice---No damage in shipment or blemishes from factory and after the setup it's got great playability and that vintage 1950's Fender Daphne blue with maple fretboard and triple ply pickguard look---I'm glad I got it !

Blue Cali Classic DLX Plus S-style issues
The guitar looks great and the Wilkinson pickups sound fine. In my case, the Wilkinson Tremolo bridge seemed to be okay, but the mechanism for attaching the tremolo arm would not secure the arm tightly. After removing the entire bridge and tightening the 'hidden' setscrew, I was still unable to insert the arm in a way that felt solid. Additionally, the control knobs are set too high (about 1/8") due to the excessive shaft length of the control pots. This further interfered with tremolo operation. The basic guitar is nicely built, but I'm returning due to the tremolo issue, as the Wilkinson tremolo bridge is part of the reason I chose the Cali Classic DLX Plus to begin with.
