BEST ANSWER: Yes it does have an on off switch. You can’t see it in the picture but it is on top of the housing. Very well made we have 2 of them.

Will this light work with 3 prong. Yamaha. Mixing board?
A shopper
on Aug 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Not an expert, but I'm gonna say probably not. Ordered for my Mackie mixer and they work, but it's a BNC connector, kinda like coax with a single connector in the center and a circular ring that twists and locks in place.

No. This light has a BNC connection. Round, screw on type. Not XLR plug you’re referring to.

This light uses a BNC connector. If the board has a BNC connector, it should work.

I just measured what is coming from the BNC connector on my Mackie SR24.4 mixer-
the socket puts out 12.4 Volts AC, and this lamp works perfectly with this mixer.

I purchased two of these 4 LED BNC lamps from Monoprice for my Peavey FX24 mixer which has two 12V BNC lamp jacks built in. These lamps fit and work perfectly. Although they are not as heavy duty as the standard (non-LED) lamps that originally came with the mixer, at a fraction of the cost, they work fine. I no longer have the package the lamps were received in from Monoprice and I do not recall any voltage indicated. Additionally, each lamp has a power button on the head so when the mixer is powered I have the option of having each lamp on or off.

Bright light. Not so bright design.
Purchased this item because it was nessisary to light up the back of my equipment rack. Light is bright enough. The only flaw is when you plug in the bnc connector it doesn't stay in a ridgid position. Kinda falls to six o'clock. I imagine you could give it a spin like a propeller if you wanted. Other than that, it a useful lamp. You'll have to be creative in where you aim the light.

Doesn't fit
Bad fit. Needs to wrap connector with rubber band to get it to fit.

Very bright light not usable for theater
It isnt a terrible light. It works decently enough with my SI Performer 3 but my biggest complaint is that they do not dim. These lights are BRIGHT. Too bright for theater if you ask me.
If they were internally dimmable, or they at least would dim using the console commands, this would be the best light out there.

Good electrically, useless mechanically
Light is fine , but connector Is free wheeling - it has no resistance so the light will not stay in position - must use gaff tape to keep it in desired position

Works Great!
Don't know what all the hype is about. I bought two of these, they were fine. Metal gooseneck is anodized finished. The head is a bit cheaply constructed from plastic. BNC ferrule seems durable. Way less expensive than the "audio" mixer lights doesn't seem better or worse than those other lights, just less expensive. Lots of uses for these. Hope they won't be discontinued.

led mixer board light
the light works fine...however I had to fabricate a different base configuration ...this has push and half turn to lock..my board has a threaded base..not a problem....made an adaptor sleeve and the light stays where I put it....no movement in the unit a-tall.....beats paying the extorted prices big name stores want..goes to show the mark-up these stores are charging...for lights like these.....great light with an on///off switch....I would highly recommend this product...

Stage Right by Monoprice Flexible Light for BNC Port 16-inch
These are terrific lights. I needed replacement lights for my studio audio console as well as my live console and these did the trick perfectly. The fit on the BNC Connector could be a bit better, but for me they worked out perfect! I have already recommended them to friends of mine who use these types of lights.

Should have listened to reviews
It's crap. I was wanting to use it in rack with Furman power conditioner so I thought I could secure it to make the reported loose BNC connection work but nope. It has a flicker to it and turns itself off whenever it wants. Tried to mod it with an O ring to help secure itut that didn't work either. Trash.

Great add to mixers
I love that the light does not get hot. It has good coverage for a 24 channel board.
