Yes, these brackets allow for you to mount the speaker in almost any location in a 2x2 acoustical tile.

Does that work with MartinLogan 6.5in in ceiling speakers?

BEST ANSWER: Probably not without modification. They are made for an 8 inch speaker. I used them for Polk 6 inch speakers, but I used a piece of plywood that I screwed the bracket to in order to have a smaller hole to fit the speaker. This worked and was not difficult to do.

BEST ANSWER: No. Both those speakers spec sheet show they take a 10.67" cutout. Compare that with the 9.5" inside ring diameter of the mounting hardware. Does not fit

Unexpected Match
I actually only used a cross braces. I was installing some JBL control 24s that my church already owned. I couldn?t find the braces anywhere, but these matched just fine and did a great job.

Better than advertised
These actually turned out nice. Was a bit worried when installing these for a client, thinking they would complicate the process. Way better to use these instead of a wood backing.

Absolutely perfect fit!
These worked perfect for Dayton Audio CS620ECT Enclosed 6.5 Ceiling Speakers! (https://www.daytonaudio.com/product/711/cs620ect-6-1-2-2-way-enclosed-ceiling-speaker-70v) Which have an exact diameter cutout to the Monoprice Installation Kit for 8in speakers. Would highly recommend! Only one complaint is they are triple boxed
way over packaged for this product. Lots of wasted cardboard to recycle.

Simple design, easy install, worked beutifully
These worked absolutely perfectly. I built a 5.1.4 Atmos system with 4 height speakers in the basement drop ceiling tiles. I was able to put my 8" speakers (9.5" cutout) in the outside corners of each of the 4 drop ceiling tiles, ~2" from the edges (you can basically put them anywhere within the tile, about 2" from the edges).
Super easy to install, highly recommended.
ProTip: I have square drop ceiling tiles so I didn't realize at first that two of sides of my drop ceiling frame were taller than the other two sides, and that this needed to be used on the taller frame edges.

HD but need new hardware
Brackets are heavy duty and worked great with Yamaha 8 speakers. Nuts and bolts that came with the unit were useless, looked like they came out of a watch they were so tiny. That was disappointing for the price. I just used sheet metal screws.
