Trying to find a 20ft xlr cable for my scarlet 2i2 and my audio technica at2020 wanted to ask if this will work because this is the only 20ft cable I could find?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. You can use this cable to connect your microphone. DMX cables can be used for digital audio transmission. DMX typically has better shielding than XLR for it is transferring data. Which is why some people prefer using DMX cables for Mic cables. You just would not want to use XLR cables in place of DMX cables for lightning. I hope this helps.

My production has bought only these cables for DMX for years and love them. We're looking at going back and color coding all cables. Are the Neutrik BSX shields compatible with this XLR connector?

BEST ANSWER: Our connectors are of a standard size. I can not guarantee you that the threads are the same. I would try one to see if it will work for you.

DMX cable connections
Cables from Monoprice are always of good quality. One thing I have noticed is that different
Manufacturers wire the XLR connector differently. The Red and white wires may be connected to the data+ and data- differently to pins 2 and 3. Something to be aware of when hooking up your gear.

Good Cables for the Price
I like that I can get ahold of good DMX cables for a lower price than going other places. They serve me well for being a start up company and getting basic lighting equipment.

Solid cable, stellar price
