BEST ANSWER: No, G-Sync requires display port.
Since this cable is used to connect a DVI monitor to a DisplayPort on your GPU, the DisplayPort will run in DVI mode. Therefore, all Display port only features (like g-sync) won't work with this cable.

will this run 144hz on my monitor? dvid -gpu to dp-144hz monitor.

BEST ANSWER: It depends on your resolution, but I'm still going to say no since the max refresh for DVI-D (Dual Link) at 1920x1200 is 120 Hz. If your monitor has a DP input you will need a DP-DP cable instead to get full resolution and refresh rate.

Thanks to this cable, I now can run 3 monitors
Like some people, I have an often dis-used Display Port because most momnitors I've seen do not suporta Display Port natively.
Then comes Monoprice with JUST what I needed. I prefer cables in place of adapters to rduce the number of connectors the signal goes thru. This worked like a charm
