I have owned lots of livewire & and some monster cables for my guitar and bass. These cables don't ask much from them other than insulation. To my surprise, the insulation fact did not affect the sound quality, these cables sound just as good. Yes, the instrument cable will affect the sound quality of an instrument, especially going into a large PA with a rack, or if you are recording. These cables are built like a tank. Let's not even talk about the price because for the quality you get, this is beyond a steal. Anyone giving less than 5 stars is going waaaaay too technical and probably comparing with cables worth over 20 times more. Yes, there are instrument cables in the 100's of dollars.
My effects pedals set-up has to change a little on different stages so I variable size jumper cables. Having a 3' along with a 1.5' really helps. I can move the pedals around or tighten up the space when needed without worrying about getting the cables tangled AND they take a beating. There under-foot all the time and I don't have to worry about it.
PROS: It's a beefy, sturdy, strong cable with solid connections to the plug
CONS: The heat shrink can be a little long if you have to make a tight bend.
