I was hoping to use these from my docking station to my DVI KVM switch... didn't work so well / blank / grainy picture, so I'll need to find another use for these cables.

Works great
Installed on a new laptop docking station that had no HDMI or DVI ports and only one VGA port. User needed two monitors, and this worked well. I have no issues with this, but I now prefer PID 12802, which outputs to HDMI, Dual-DVI, and VGA.

It works
I received a new laptop for work. My old laptop came with a docking station that had VGA and DVI outputs. My new laptop docking station has VGA and display port outputs. I bought this cable to convert one of the display ports to DVI. I then plug that in to my Monoprice DVI switcher and then to the monitor. I now have two monitors for my home workstation and my work laptop.
