Great pedal. Plays well with other

I can get such good tone and match so many songs from the 80's and 90's. Anything from Bush, Staind, Greenday, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, GNR with just minor tweaks. This is so much better than a Boss DS-1 for Vintage distortion in my opinion

I own several Distortion pedals but I bought ths one for travel because of its low price and high quality. I contine to be impressed by Monoprice.

This pedal works well for a full blown, wall of distortion sound for your guitar. Power chords are nicely saturated and will ring out with ease. Humbuckers will respond with a huge in your face sound and singing leads that cut through the mix. Single coils are easily pushed into humbucker territory with sustain to spare and violin-toned leads that sing out. However the effect of this pedal is not subtle and even on its lowest distortion setting and tweaking it is not recommended for use if you are searching for an overdrive or to add just a little dirt to your sound. It is great for metal, hard rock from the early 80?s forward, heavier guitar sounds or the occasional lead tone when you want something that really pierces and pushes with effortless distorted sustain. It is not recommended for blues or 60?s & 70?s classic rock. Construction is solid. Noise when engaged is minimal and to be expected with these kind of pedals. A bargain for the $20 paid.

And once again, Monoprice has done it! A great deal on a superior product. I highly recommend Monoprice and their products.

It is sweet, it brings me the noise I used to get from my BOSS MX-90 from the 1980's.

I purchased the green fuze pedal and the info clearly stated it can work on a 9 volt battery
I'm cool with that so I stop at a store and spend 8 bucks on a good 9 volt battery and get home to install the battery and guess what there's already a battery in the pedal
No biggie I wanted to put the alkaline Duracell in vs the cheaper heavy duty that came with it
But long and behold the standard Duracell was a tiny bit bigger than the one that was already installed lol
So i couldn't put the back of the pedal back on unless I reinstalled the cheaper battery that came with it
Just thought I'd share this so someone else don't have a 9 volt battery that costs 9.45 and nothing to do with it
