BEST ANSWER: This mount is very robust and can hold up much more weight than it is rated. The only issue is the bolt pattern on the back of the TV. If it will match up then there will be no problem.

The maximum size might affect the ability to turn or angle the screen in certain directions, but as long as it's under 80lbs, and as long as it's compatible with the VESA mount on your TV, it will probably be fine.

I'm using this mount for a 55" LG (over 50#) and a 42" Vizio. No issues at all with it. Just make sure there is no play in the joints when you receive the mount.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
Unfortunately we would not be able to do so since the center of any given TV varies from TV to TV.

Will this work for a smart tv?

BEST ANSWER: Smart TV has nothing to do with this mount. Its more like, does your Smart TV weight more than 80lbs? Just make sure there is enough slack in the cables and Power Cord so you can articulate it without snagging.

BEST ANSWER: Both the single arm and the double arms are hinged which allows both in and out movement as well as lateral movement. Don't remember for sure but I think their video may show this. We have been very happy with ours.

Can you get a replacement plate so you hang a bigger tv?

BEST ANSWER: No, Our mounts are not designed to be modified. Larger screens will change the center of gravity and effect the leverage on the mounting points that may cause failure and damage. We have many other mounts that will accommodate larger screens.

I currently have the Titan Series Swivel Wall Mount for Small 20 - 42 inch TVs 80lbs Black #5921. Can I purchase this (product #7846) and just swap the mounting plate in order to accommodate a 400x400 vesa tv? It seems the swivel arm is the same between the models and doesn't make sense to completely reinstall if its possible to just swap the mounting plates.

What size drill bit to use? The installation guide it came with says drill a 1/8” pilot 2.5 inches deep. But the cutout guide says 7/32” and 2.75 inches deep. Which is correct for the M6x60 screws it came with?
A shopper
on Oct 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: M-Screws are machine screws to go into your TV if that's the proper one based on thread size of your TV. They are not proper screws for going into drilled holes in a stud or concrete. Lag Bolts are the proper ones to use in a wall.

Huge price jump
I purchased this exact item (5921) about two years ago and it was $20 cheaper. It's definitely a good product, but this is quite a price jump in a short time. I just purchased a second one. The part number is the same, but the name changed from "Titan Series" to "EZ Series", that's the only real difference.

Mount works great with 55 inch, 27 pound TV
TV mount works perfectly for 55 in, 27 pound TV. Extends 24 inches as described. Very sturdy. I dont know why the description limits TV size to 47 in.

Strong but poor accesability
I like the sturdiness of the equipment
There is a shortcoming with the mounting plate for the TV - the holes for the screws (to affix the TV) are barely accessable.
