I was expecting the tags to be larger. There's not really enough room to write more than a couple of characters. We won't be able to use these, but they weren't expensive and I'll be happy to pass them on.
While they are an affordable way to ID cables and I was excited to find a clean and secure way to keep track of high density system wiring, this is not the answer. There is not enough room to do much more than number wires. It is also tough to write on the label tag when it has been attached. If these are not obstacles for you, then make sure to use a very light colored tag to enhance readability.
I have read that these can be too small. As long as you don't try to write an essay, they work fine. Enough space for me to write something with at least 5 letters. They do a good job of labeling my home stereo cables. Everything has an ID tag now. All a single color but not a big problem.
PROS: Convenient, stay tight on the cables, easy to use.
These cable markers are right on. I first used em to mark my starting and ending points for my christmas lights and now that i have had em on the job, i have used several times for marking coax. I work in the satellite industry and these are perfect for marking locations of boxes as well as how many tuners are being used on multi switches. The order taking process was painless and the order shipped fast. Thanks a ton.
PROS: The ability to join several cables for using one tag to label the bunch.
Size. Marker doesnt smear. The quantity u get for what u paid.
CONS: Would like a lil more size for writing purposes, but im sure they are out there and i probably didnt see em.
as a basic tie, this is fine. However, since it is somewhat pricier than basic ties due to the marker functionality, I have to advise to just buy a plain one. The market area is very small to be almost useless. The picture here does not do it justice
PROS: great as a tie
CONS: market section is much too small to be useful
Great little way to mark cables. I am always trig to find out what cable went where and this is the easiest method I have found. They work really well and stay on the cable. Will not fall off! I use several per cable so I know what the cable is before disconnecting!
PROS: Work as advertised. Hold well. Etched surface hold ink well, Use a fine sharpie for best results. Great way to label home office cable, etc
These things are great! Perfect for tying cables and labeling them at the same time. My only 'complaint', if you can call it that, is that the surface is a little small. So, you need to make sure you use a fine tip permanent marker and write on it on a table, prior to applying them to the cables.
