Sound was garbled when connecting from projector to my headphones
I received these headphones today and plugged it into my projector, then my headphones into the cable.
The sound came through garbled. It sounded like the background noise was clear, but the dialog and other things were distorted. I tried everything, plugging it in tightly, turning it, etc. When I remove my headphone cable from the female connector of this cable a little, the sound got a little better, but I just can't hold it half-way in.
I plugged the headphones directly into the projector and the sound was fine.
Super disappointed, usually monoprice cables are the best!
I'm using two of these cables to run a headphone jack and mic jack from a gaming PC sitting next to my TV/receiver to the couch, about 12 ft away.
Does a great job bringing a headphone/mic combo from far away to the PC. No noise or hum because these cables are well shielded against EMI/RFI.
As the description says, there are two separate conductors, one for each stereo channel (presumably with a common ground). Each conductor is 22AWG. So it's not a single coax, but a "twin lead" double set of coax cables attached together. Thus, the cables themselves are pretty thick. But they work perfectly for me since they basically run across the floor against a wall, and the mic and headphones I plug into them have their own much lighter cable that plugs into the female end.
