1.5ft Premier Series 1/4-inch (TS) Right Angle Male to Right Angle Male 16AWG Audio Cable (Gold Plated)
10ft Premier Series 1/4in TS Male to Male Audio Cable, 16AWG (Gold Plated)
Connect sound components and other audio equipment with this Premium 1/4" TS Patch Cable from Monoprice!
This unbalanced cable uses 16 AWG stranded, pure copper conductors and employs copper braid shielding with 97.5% coverage to ensure that stray radio frequency and electromagnetic signals do not degrade the audio quality of your performance. The plugs are gold plated to provide smooth, corrosion-free connections as well as maximum electrical conductivity.
Note that this cable is intended for general audio use. For high-end, low-noise performance and recording use we recommend our Cloth Series cables.
CONS: None. It's functioning as expected.
PROS: Very inexpensive. Looks "heavy duty"! Very flexible rubbery feel with "beefy" ends and anti-kink springs.
CONS: Not sure if actual wire inside will last that long. Maybe a very thin gauge? Picks up static when you step on it
The cords appeared to be extremely well constructed, and maybe I just got a set from a bad batch, but I can't recommend them for use as a guitar cord where you're going to move around at all.
PROS: Price. Shipping speed. Sturdy construction.
Otherwise I like them!
PROS: Solid Construction, Gold Connectors, Spring wire protectors, Price
I thought I had a lemon at first and monoprice was very fast and courteous in sending a replacement. Unfortunately this does not seem to be the case, as the replacement was also very noisy. I don't recommend this for musical purposes.
PROS: Solid looking, great design on the surface. Inexpensive.
CONS: Microphonic out of the box. Crackles like mad at the slightest shift or jostle- sounds like a bowl of rice krispies.
PROS: I have been using these cables for about 6 months and have had no problems. Signal strength is good with excellent flexibility for 16AWG wire. Connectors are soldered , not crimped and gold plating appears to hold up quite well. Compares to $40 cables.
