BEST ANSWER: I'm using it to connect a display port on a PC to my TV with HDMI so I can't say it will work for you. I have to connect audio thru audio jacks.

Take it from me , it won't work . The DisplayPort in the monitor doesn't supply a power input which the adapter needs , and HDMI doesn't have a power output

BEST ANSWER: Hello, in regards to your inquiry if you are looking to see if this outputs 4k. This will output at that resolution but only at 30hz. I hope this helps and clarifies the question for you.

This unit says it sends audio through displayport to HDMI, but I can't get it to show up in Sound Playback devices. Anyone have any idea how to get the HDMI sound to show up? thanks

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Some DisplayPort outputs will support audio output and some will not. I would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of your device as to if it supports audio out from the DisplayPort output. I hope this helps!

BEST ANSWER: No. Looking up the specs for your computer, it has an "Apple Mini iDisplayPort". This adapter uses standard DisplayPort, so it will not connect to your computer. You'll need a different adapter and an HDMI cable. Take a look at the links attached for to get a better start.
