BEST ANSWER: This cable does not work for iPods. iPods use a 1/8 inch TRS cable. Commonly know as an aux or auxiliary cable. This 1/4 inch cable is used for connecting things like studio monitors and guitars to audio interfaces.

Hi, I believe the iPod itself takes a 1/8in TRS plug, not a 1/4in. Also, the device you want to connect to the iPod may take a different cable as well.

This cable has 1/4" ends. I think what you need are 1/8" or 3.5mm ends
