Could this cable be used as a speaker cable?

BEST ANSWER: The short answer, no, assuming you are going from amp to speaker. The cable gauge is not adequate for amplified signals, especially over any distances. If you are going from Mixer/Audio Interface to speaker, I think you would have issue with the tip/ring no longer being a balanced signal to each channel of the amp.....

Maybe, but you woupd be better off with actual speaker cables. These are shielded patch cables the internal wires are thinner than a speaker cable, which is designed for higher current. These are meant for carrying signal, not power.

Depends on the speaker. I have studio speakers which require this type of cable which is why I bought it. Home audio speakers would not have an input for this speaker and are better served with normal speaker wires.

16 gauge is heavy enough to be used as a speaker cable... but the cable is BC Shielded. I use these cables for line level instruments. Never tried as a speaker cable.

idk. I’m using them for effects to connect 2 pedalboards. But would think they could. I bought some longer cables with the same or similar specs for speaker cables. I’m not an expert sound man, I ain’t guaranteeing anything.

Wait I just checked the specs. These are TRS (Tip Ring Sleeve) I know that’s what’s used on processors & effects. You may need just Tip Sleeve Cables for speakers. Google it.

BEST ANSWER: Not your best choice for an instrument cable. This is Tip Ring Sleeve (TRS), which can be used in a balanced system or for stereo connections. You will want a Tip Sleeve (TS), or Unbalanced Instrument cable for connecting a guitar to an amplifier.

No in general this is a TRS cable. Stereo cable -See the 2 rings. It is for special purpose items or amps. In most cases all amps require a standard cable. 1 ring

Normally guitar cables have TS connectors (Tip and Sleeve). One can still use a TRS cable (Tip, Ring and Sleeve).

I would not recommend it. Use a normal guitar patch cable. A normal cable would be cheaper as well.
