I bought this to use for a connection between a preamp XLR and a subwoofer with only RCA. The most common is to have the inverted signal connected to ground, which is not great for you preamp as it shorting an output to ground (most can tolerate it). Fortunately I was able to de-solder the inverted input connection leaving it open while the regular signal is connected to the RCA. Very happy this is not injection molded and can be easily modified as needed. If using this with a microphone input, it?s wired correctly as is.

Can't beat the price

I was gladly surprise with the build quality of these cables. Prior to receiving these, I had been using 6-ft. coaxial RCA cables, and was loosing signal, had humming, sometimes while performing on the stage! These cables have that thick heavy-duty feel, are well isolated/grounded from interference, and fit tightly into both XML and RCA plugs/sockets. After weeks of going in and out for live performance, they just deliver clean powerful sound.
