I installed this 47749 Blackbird to fix some long-cable HDMI issues I was having, and my Apple TV no longer turns the TV on and off. Does this unit support HDMI on/off commands? Before, the HDMI cabling was AppleTV unit -> Denon 5.1 Amp -> long HDMI cable to TV. In this configuration, the Apple TV remote turned the Denon and TV on and off correctly. With the new HDMI cabling of AppleTV -> Denon 5.1 Amp -> Blackbird xmt -> Blackbird rcv -> TV, the TV no longer gets on or off signals.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. The Blackbird HDMI Extender (47749) transmits video, audio, EDID, and IR signals, but it does not support HDMI CEC passthrough.
Because of this, CEC features like using your Apple TV remote to power the TV on/off may not work once the extender is added. In your original setup, CEC signals passed directly through the HDMI connection, but the extender interrupts those commands.
You can try using the built-in IR pass-through for control. Hope this helps.
