Is this cable suitable for use as an AES/EBU digital audio cable?

BEST ANSWER: No. It does not have the AES specified characteristic impedance. But I believe Monoprice does offer cables that do have the proper impedance. Just a different series. Call them up and ask for help if you can't find it on their website.

Is the 1.5 foot length a measurement of the flexible cable portion, or is that the overall length including both rigid XLR ends?

So the price of a 1.5' XLR to XLR cable on the Monoprice website is $5.39 each. Amazon advertises the same item for $3.79 each but several reviews indicate that the item fraudulently claims it is 16ga when they are actually 24ga. Price-wise, if they are the same cable it therefore makes sense to buy through Amazon. My question is this: can anyone confirm that the cable sold directly through Monoprice is in fact 16ga? Maybe that is the key to the price difference.

Don't bother buying Stage Right

All around better than the newer lower end 'Stage Right' series

I really hope that the Stage Right will not replace Premier Series

I bought this short cable for the connectors which or nice. According to my wire gauge it is not 16awg it is a small 18awg

Good value but look

Nice cable overall. I have had one failure due to too much strain on a wire where soldered (pin 2 in this case). Upon purchase I suggest a quick inspection to assure the wires are not pulled too tight, often pushing in a bit then resetting the clamp.
